Well, here is the beginning of a series of TRs. I spent the past 10 days with Zach (coasterzak) and his family and we hit up 4 parks during that time.
Geauga Lake
---
Started off with me arriving at the airport in Ohio at about 12 noon. Zach picked me up and we headed to his house. His mom packed us lunches and we headed out to Geauga Lake first thing. After about 40 min we were there. It was really cool how the rides (namely Steel Venom aka S:UE) run right up next to the street. Got in and the lot looked empty, but Zach informed me that for them, it wasn't empty. Well, it was really hot out so most of the cars were there from people at the water park. Rides were walkons. This was definitely a day of firsts for me.

Thunderhawk:
This was my first SLC. I really enjoyed it. I heard so many bad things about them, but I liked it. No wait for front row (best row). I loved the inversions on this ride and the "near foot amputation" as the train comes really close to the track. Got about 5 rides.
Dominator:
LOVED THIS RIDE. My first floorless ever. Awesome, completely awesome. Airtime off the MCBR is amazing. Front row is so cool for the floorless effect, but back row is definitely where it's at! We got so many rides on this and ended up doing a marathon at the end of the night. Topped off the day with 18 rides! We were so dominated. "And the bottom drops out!"
Villain:
My first G-train ride! Despite all the horrors I had heard about the G-trains, I didn't think it was so awful. Yeah, I'll admit they hurt more than a nice PTC or NAD train, but not too horrible. I thought it was a pretty fun ride. Ended up taking about 3 rides on it.
Double Loop:
Sweet little arrow, with some awesome airtime if you know where to sit! I think we got 2 or 3 rides on this.
Head Spin:
My first boomerang (yes I know, I'm sheltered). Finally experienced the feeling of the loops backwards. Wow, Deja Vu's loops bacwards doesn't compare to the feeling you get on this ride! Really sweet. 2 rides.
Big Dipper:
AWESOME woodie with incredible air. Only running one train, so this was probably our longest wait. So cool though. Got 2 rides on this.
X-Flight:
My first Vekoma flyer. Definitely interesting how you recline, kind of an awkward feeling at first, but once you start up the lift it's cool. It's strange going up backwards! I liked this ride. Had an amazing loop. Forces were awesome. Only took 1 rides due to 1 train operation. Actually, this was probably our longest line, not Big Dipper. I forgot.

Steel Venom and Raging Wolf Bobs were both closed so we didn't get a chance to get on these. Steel Venom wasn't a big deal though since we've got V2 at GAm. They have an awesome top spin, I can only hope that King Chaos is as good. All in all, an awesome day and a great way to start my stay in Ohio! Some not so great ride ops and some awesome ride ops. Such as Tree and her crew on Dominator...awesome job. "I'ma stack my trains!"
