SFGAm 5/31 - RAGIN' CAJUN FUN!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on May 31st, 2004, 10:07 pm
After a little bit of chaos, we finally left at 10:15. I looked everywhere for my camera, no luck, so no pictures today. We got there at 11:25 and I headed straight to Ragin' Cajun. After about 10 minutes the rain started up. Lots of people left the line. About 35 minutes later, it opened back up. It started raining again when I got on, but they kept the ride going. Holy crap this ride is freakin awesome, it really whips you around. I got a nice pop of air time near the end. 8/10 perfect ride. I got off and, even though I look incredibly horrible in the picture, I bought an on-ride photo. :)

I then headed to Batman. 25 minute wait for the back. Sweet intense ride as always... Didn't seem as fast as last time, though. I checked out V2's line and noticed it was pretty full so I skipped it. Headed toward Iron Wolf to find a pretty short line. 15 minute wait for back row. Seemed perfectly smooth.

After that I got in line for AEB. The lines for both sides were very short, especially blue. Five minute wait for blue in front row. After that I went on the red train. Ten minute wait for the back. It started raining when I got on... It was a bit crazy, it felt like needles poking through my skin. Made the ride more fun in a way though. Then I got on Revolution in about ten minutes.

After that we had some lunch at Firehouse Pizza. My mom was saying she was already sick of the rain and that if it continues we'd leave. I got worried about that... But to my luck it didn't really rain much after that.

I headed to Demon, thinking there would be no line. I was wrong. Fifteen minute wait for back row. I noticed Vu was testing since it had been closed for a bit because of the rain... so I got in line for that. It opened in about five minutes. It started raining while I was about halfway through the line, and I got a little mad cause I was expecting the ride to close... but it didn't. 35 minute wait for 1A. Ahhh great ride. I just want to say good job SFGAm for fixing all the Vu problems, I have never seen it break down this season yet.

I got on Viper next. 20 minute wait for second to last row. I had not seen RB operate for a while, and it started testing while I was on Viper. I quickly headed over there to get in line. It may have just been me, but when they were testing it, it seemed to go slower than it usually does, mainly before the midcourse breaks. The employees were saying it would not open any time soon but I was actually patient enough to wait. 30 minutes later it opened up. Eight minute wait for the back. Awesome ride... When we came to the breaks, a guy a few rows ahead of me puked three times on the catwalk, and once in the station. It was disgusting to see...

I headed toward Mardi Gras, to check out Ragin' Cajun's line. It was longer than before, so I decided to take a spin on Jester's. I was about to go on Big Easy Balloons next, but it was temporarily closed. So I went on SUF which had a pretty short line. 25 minute wait for the back. I went back over to BEB which was open.

It was about 6:45 when I got in line for Ragin' Cajun. Wait was about 30 minutes. That was a painful ride this time... But still really fun. I got right back in line. Another 30 minute wait... This time I was the only one in the car, cause one of the sides of the car was broken. This is seriously an awesome ride. I love every second of it. Those hair pin turns...

Funny how I got off right when the clock struck 8, when we had to leave. Fun day, really great...

4 cars, a 30 minute line would be around 1-2 switchbacks, the public including me was very surprised at how intense the ride is, the on ride photo is after the big drop (I think).

Yeah you got me right when the operator asks me who made a song about a roller coaster and I replied "Marriots Great America" then you said hi and I felt like an idiot cause some coaster person heard me say Marriots Great America  (I don't really care about the history).
