CoasterBuzz Con 2004 Report 5/22/04

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Galvan on May 23rd, 2004, 11:54 am
Greetings, Yesterday was the second annual CoasterBuzzCon event at Great America. The Day started off very poorly, arrived at the park around 815 and caught up with Dave,Tom,Chitown and His daughter. The rain cancelled our ERT event on RB and Viper. The really crappy thing was that it was cancelled only after about 15 minutes of rain.

During the wait for the GP opening of the park, PlaneA380 had a great experince with getting soaked by standing underneath the Season Pass Entrance Sign lol, pretty funny. Even though our ERT was cancelled, Six Flags was very accomidating. Providing each CBuzzCon particiapant with 2 fast lane passes, Drink Tickets, and later at our lunch a gift bag with Six Flags Stuff, INCLUDING A NOTEBOOK!!! :P (Kyle and Papas take note to that one) :) just kidding you guys.

We where finally allowed into the park, and we first headed to S:UF where we waited for the offical park opening. Front Row on S:UF was awesome.. However it seemed slow at first.

Next was over to DejaVu, where we got in on the First dispatch of the day. Deja was running excellently even though some minor rain events. However we are told that it did Miscatch once during the day.

Next it was over to Demon, im starting not really like this ride for whatever reason blah! lol still pretty good for a classic.

One of the main reasons we went to day was for Viper ERT. the Line however was jammed packed. so we Decided to use our Fastlane on Raging Bull, RB was amazing as always, running Three trains on this rather busy day.

Following RB, we headed over to AE:B backwards trip was awesome and Scott and I got some freak airtime. It was great!.

After AE:B it was time for the parade! Which as CBuzzCon participants we got to go on the trolley. One requirement for the Trolley was that you had to wear a silver or gold colored Mardi Gras hat. The parade was pretty cool actually :) you got to peg people with beads lol.

Following the parade we headed back around the park to Raging Bull again, again with the Fastlane :) This perhaps is the only time we'd use the fast lane pass (Because it was free!)

Following RB we headed back to AE:R Then it was off to Lunch. Six flags as i mentioned earlier provided us with gift bags because of the rain cancelling the ERT.

I split from the group to go to Superman while the rest hit V2 and B:TR.
After it was a trip again to SWT and to Raging Bull, then Giant Drop and then back to AE:B this is where the highlight of the day happend...

On AE:R i sat in the ever last seat, Tom 2 seats infront of me and Dave ahead of him. Now those of you who know the situation about T_Biggs on this forum know the nickname they've given him "Chester" which from what i understand he hates. Me and Tom decided to break out in a Chester Chant throughout the entire ride, What we wherent expecting and what made it the highlight was the entire AE:R and AE:B trains to chant it too!! Dave who sat infront of him was talking to him about it just prior to the chant and he said that he didnt care about it much anymore. Well the reaction after the ride was proof that he indeed did, in fact Two guys from the AE:B train chased him yelling Chester. LOL really funny.

Following AE:R it was over to IW, im really starting to like IW! Im taller and i dont have as much headbanging. From IV over to BTR... B:TR is a roll of the dice for me, sometimes i make it on there other times i dont. Great Ride :)

Following B:TR it was over to Superman, then Whizzer, then Viper, Raging Bull and back to DejaVu to end the night.

Great all around day, except the ERT being cancelled :( but never the less the best day at SFGAM this year.

I saw alot of you at the event which is good :)

My next trip is still TBD so hopefully ill see more of you soon.

Sucks that the ERT was cancelled but you seemed to get the most of your day anyways thanks to your fastlanes.

Yeah, my brother getting soaked twice that day was a lot of fun (at the entrance and on BEB). It was the best day at sf this year, and i will be back Sat., hopefully to be just as fun as this day was.

How's my notebook Papas? :)
