Six Flags Park With the Best Theme

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby DejaVu28140 on May 23rd, 2004, 7:49 pm
What, in your own opinion, is the best themed Six Flags Park?

Since I've only been to one Six Flags park(SFGam), my vote doesn't count. But those of you who have been to other Six Flags parks, What is your vote?

Sorry if this was already discussed in the past.

SFGAm has the best theming out of the ones I have been to (SFStL, SFKK, SFGAm, and SFWoA).

I'm going to have to say (also happens to be my Fav SF park) Fiesta Texas, a Six Flags Theme Park, or just SFFT :)

All has to do with location, look it up on Google and find pics, really great location.

Also close runners up woudl be SFOG and SFOT, very nice themeing there. and SFGAm is not far behind and I think is about equal to those.

Generally the "original" 7 Time Warner SF parks are all very nice with the exeption of Astroworld, with all the new ones being basically Junk parks wearing the SF name.

I've only been to SFGAm, but from what I've heard, it seems to keep it's American theme well. We haven't seen a DC Comics themed area for that reason.

I really like SFNE's theming around Superman. The entire section is incredible. Either than that, yeah... SFGAm probably has the best theming.

When Six Flags sold their European parks, they decided not to give up interest in the Madrid park. Six Flags only owns I think 33% of that park though.

Madrid was never called Six Flags in the 1st place, but that doesn't mean its now owned by Six Flags Inc.

Well I gove props to SFOG on their SUF. From the pics I've seen they do indeed have awesome theming. SFGAm in my opinion does need more theming around rides. (Except in SWT)

>Yeah, they do considering it is their property...

sure, if you consider a 5% minority interest their property

I suppose some type of proof is needed.....

From the most recent Six Flags Financial Report (published April 2004)

"We are managing a park known as Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid, near Madrid, Spain, which opened in April 2002. It is located on approximately 150 acres with room for expansion

(primary marketing areas and stratgies snipped)

We were paid a development fee from the owner prior to the park's opening and now manage the park on a long-term basis for a management fee equal to 2.5% of revenues. We also hold a 5% minority interest in the parks ownership.

For additional financial and other information concerning our international operations, see Note 13 to Notes to Consolidated Financial Statements."
