Well I woke up this moring to Firedept wanting to test the firealarm in my apt. So I said I'm out of here and headed to SF.
Wow park was empty when I got there (9:50am). Parked in front row. Got in the park and realized quickly it was Physics day at the park.
Here are the rides I rode:
1) Wizzer - Gotta be the first ride of the day (my rule - I stick to it as long it is open). Got on 1st train out in first row. Still love this coster - I have no clue how the even considered takeing this one out of the park.
2) Demon - walked on - Seemed to be running slow today. I enjoyed it.
3) Demon - no one waiting for a ride.. might as well go again.. sweet
4) Batman - Had a 15 min wait - wow is it now running fast. I love it!
5) v2 - walk on - I couldn't believe there was no wait.
6) v2 - found anouther singe seat as I was getting off and rode again
wanted to go on superman - line was long I think the physics day required you to ride this one because this is where every HS kid was at. oh well
7) wizzer - was walking out to leave to go home to get ready for work and figured might as well ride again.
11:30 Lunch at Long John Silvers .... Yummy chicken planks and hush puppies.
I did check out the progress of Mardi Gras section. Ragin Cajun had water dummies on the ride but was not running. Gotta be soon. It looked like they were working on the overhead rests for King Chaos, they were also painting the rail to the water fountain in front of the ride. I asked the guy painting the ride if you will get "wet" on the ride and he said no the fountain will only be for show .
I pretty sure that the Rides will be ready tomorrow for Media Day, If they have dummies on them, I am sure they have already have been testing the ride. They may not test those rides when the park is open because it may create crowds of people so they do it when the park closed. Also, can you imaged if the media shows up and only 2 or the 4 rides are running. I don’t think that would make good reporting for the news.
King Chaos had the temporarily closed sign up, it hasnt opened yet but looks good to go.
It looked like there is NO WAY Cajun's gonna be open tommorrow.
Im assuming King Chaos will open, and I think there is a fairly decent chance that they will work through the night and I mean ALL night non-stop to get Cajun done. They will have it open for media day and might even do some tests when everyone gets there before the news crews go on air. They most likely wont get on the air till 6-7. So lets say 6:30. 10 hours and 37 min. Better get crakin!
I can tell the park really wants to open up Ragin' cajun tomorrow. So much has happened since Sunday. I have a feeling that they may open the ride tomorrow only for media and run only a few of the cars. I imagine King Chaos would open.
Apparently media got on it, but I dont think they'd open it today (kind of hard with no queue, no airgates, etc).
By the way did you see that little crane moving on the ShockWave hill? I was walking down S:UF's exit ramp and the guy I was with noticed it and then I thaught hey maybe they're finally moving it to the furnace (weather it was there for ShockWave or not is anyones guess).
