Wow, that's it? Is that just the coaster itself or does that include labor? Because that means that even if you're somewhat rich (like with a few million) you could afford a small coaster in your backyard. Like Richie Rich, which by the way, was filmed at Iron Wolf at Great America.
Iron Wolf was around 9,000,000. A V2 clone (Steel Venom at Vallyfair) was 8,500,000. The taller the more expensive as you have to pay for crane rental, airlifting, etc.
Wasn't TTD 25million? It's hydrolic (expensive) and they also had to rent two (two of only like 6) cranes able to reach 420+ feet.
Aero, yes TTD was $25 million that was already stated.
Heres how much some big coasters cost:
Riddlers Revenge- $14 million
Medusa- $15 million
Silver Bullet- $16 million
Millennium Force- $25 million
Wicked Twister- $9 million
Xcelerator- $13 million
Superman: The Escape- $20 million+all the extra maintaining costs= close to $100 million

Sad part is, S:TE was built in the mid '90s... $20 million was SO MUCH MORE back then as far as coasters go. What a waste of money.
Iron Wolf cost $5,000,000, though you have to take into account the park took a gigantic risk buying from this brand new basically untested company, also dollars were worth a bit more at the time
Honestly if you wanted a coaster in your backyard, and you knew who to talk to, you can pick up a used Galaxi or Wildcat for less then the cost of a nicer new car, or a older kiddie coaster for less than the cost of a meal at McDonalds (for real, see below)
Somewhere in PA someone inherited 2 Miler kiddie coasters, both are in rough shape, but are still able to be salvaged, free who whoever wants them (as far as I know, no one has taken him up on his offer)
