New For 2025 - Wrath of Rakshasa

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Stupid question: Why does Wrath have 48 inch height requirement whereas X Flight has 52 and the other 3 B&M have 54?

Also - now that Wrath is open is Demon now open? Site says Closed
Single Day Ride Count Record

50 rides 8/17/2018 (Without Flash Pass - Coasters After Dark)

Does anyone know when they close the line for Wrath each night? Is it right at close, 30 minutes prior, etc?

I'm thinking of going today, arrive at 7PM hopefully, just to get a ride on Wrath!

Got on Wrath this afternoon. Waited about 45 minutes. Lines moved fast. It went down around 6pm and never reopened.

Yeah it went down at 5:30 and wasn’t even running trains after that. Maxx Force went down before that and never reopened. And X Flight also had downtime as well at the same time.

Wrath opened at 10:50AM instead of on time because the station audio crapped out. Add that to all the ride closures (Loggers didn’t open until around 3 or 4) and it was a horrible maintenance day for the park today.

Yeah. Rough day all around. Superman never opened (but I think that was a staffing issue) and Batman didn’t open til later in the day as well (again, I think a staffing thing). Striker opened late too.

Superman actually did manage to open about an hour before park close. I suspect this may have been due to all the other ride closures because it sure seemed like they weren’t planning on opening it at all today.

Oh gotcha. I wasn’t over in that area of the park by then and since it was already that late and hadn’t open, I assumed it wasn’t. Good to see it finally did open.

I arrived at the park on Sunday just before 7 PM and jogged over to Wrath! The line was in the covered switchbacks area. I got on in 50 minutes and managed to run around (and over people) to get back in line just before 8 PM close. I only waited 20 minutes the 2nd time around. The sun was setting and it was very scenic at the top of the lift.

The best part: I got both rides in my what will most likely be my preferred seat: back row, outer left.

First let me say that this thing HAULS through the course! It's relentless.

First drop was amazing and even better than I thought it would be and I've been on Valravn and Sheikra.
I loved the 3rd inversion and the subsequent banking left turns. The last 2 inversions kind of sneak up on you (in a good way).

I totally agree with the comment about tug-of-war on that transition into the right banking turn and brake run.

I am very intrigued by the conveyor system and I think that (along with 3 trains) will help keep the line moving and allow the ride to have a good capacity.

I absolutely LOVE this ride and it's already at #3 for me in the park after my beloved X Flight and Raging Bull.

Everything else gets bumped down a notch.

I love the fact that there ARE covered sections in the line (unlike outer queue of Maxx). I find it exhilarating that this ride is basically running all around you as you wait in line! Walking under the lift hill was interesting as you can hear the motor humming a bit loudly.

I'm still amazed that they were able to fit this ride into Suckaneer Battle's old plot!

I've had three rides since last Friday. Seated on the right end, the roll into the helix might be the best "gotcha" element I've experienced since Leviathan's speed hill -- you come out of the roll and the seat is RIPPED out from underneath. Caught me completely off guard.

This thing is snappy without being violent, also there's floater air where unexpected. As others said, the pacing here is as good as it gets. The rattle is there, but negligible. Theming was well thought out for Six Flags standards, and the tie-in to County Fair is the subtle cherry on top. The landscape change and openness of the ride takes some getting used to, rather surprised by the lack of netting and hope it stays that way. The concrete is nice and I hope the park continues replacing the blacktop in the coming years.

Gets a solid 8 from me. 9 when the crew grows fully dialed in.

It may have taken 18 years to properly replace Deja Vu but damn if this isn't a better use for that piece of real estate.

One neat element I haven't seen mentioned that I really noticed on multiple rides last night, if you're sitting on the right edge, there's a near miss with one of the supports when you roll out of the immelmann
