You can see this at X-Flight since it's the most obvious there. When it's filled in there's almost like a hill that goes from the base of the footer to the base of the steel.

Is the "hill" you mention the grouting of the footer? I remember we had a discussion about that on here when Maxx was going up!

Yes, I couldn't think of the word. Thanks.

The three legged support we see that went up looks to be the first support under the station we see in the video when the train leaves the station.

I believe the support is for station. Checks out with how B&M's are generally constructed start to finish

Very exciting! I hope they can get a lot of work done before we get bad weather.

Who?! lol kidding. I'll forever be known as that. It'll take some time. But I didn't really do anything, just proof I'm on Instagram way too much that I saw it the minute it was posted ;D Had to share.

I think this thing will be complete by February if they add pieces every day. Maybe even way sooner. XFlight went up in what felt like days. So we will see. I'll have to look back at the Timelapse(s)....

Image
This was Jan 3, 2012 with a few small supports up. Image
This was Feb. 3, 2012. Talk about crazy progress in a months time during the prime of winter. Image
& this was Feb. 16, 2012. Almost the entire layout here. The brake run was done around Feb 28 that year but while the track was done a while, testing didn't start til April 11 & a full successful test run on April 12, 2012. So again, we COULD see the track go up in a matter of a couple weeks & leave the rest of the time to all the technical & thematic elements taking place much later.

Yes. It will go up quickly. Pouring footers and waiting for them to set is the longest part. Assuming there’s no delays in getting the remaining track, steel coasters go up very quickly, especially if the weather continues to be good with no snow. I wish the park posted a webcam.

No idea if they work weekends but it's going to be unseasonably warm on Sunday. Monday looks great too.

Sky High is very responsive on Facebook. Perhaps they will answer how many days a week they are working.

The turn into the lift hill is complete. Base of the lift should go up tomorrow. As you can see some other supports on the plot elsewhere have also been installed. I shot a short update video today and hopefully I can have it live on my YouTube late tonight.

It’s truly mind boggling to me how they were able to fit this into this piece of land. I didn’t realize how close the station was to the county fair food court! That lift hill must be steep asf to be able to fit!!

I'd say the last turn into the transfer track and brake is even closer to that fence line and utility building than the station and it's turn is to County Fair Food Court.

I'd hope that Six Flags plans to hide some of those Utilities behind the food court from view from Rakshasa as I'm fairly sure there was some sort of barrier for Battle. I'm also happy to see they saved the trees they planted back when Battle was built. Although we lost quite a few of them at Demon. I've pretty much lost hope that the pond is returning. That bridge will feel weird in 2025 when there's water on only one side.

The blue & gold is going to look so striking against XF's red & "black".

I feel like it’s about time to have those colors considering Navy Base Great Lakes is right down the road.

Still no Navy theme though.

Looking at this picture really excites me. I can't believe they are fitting this coaster in this location still. Speechless. The first initial turn into the chain lift looks massive in this location and it's only one little turn.. Love the fact they were able to put something so massive in a smaller space. Great America's uniqueness.

It became pretty evident after Goliath was built that roller coaster designers can just about squeeze anything anywhere. Sure. B&M had to get creative with Wrath but it’s clearly doable and it’s why you’re seeing more parks have rides that cross midways or interact with other rides.
