I second this, and I am not mad about it at all. But it is nice to see it has cycled, I was thinking it would take a month or two after Sky Striker was finished.

I should clarify: I think the days of Eagle (in present form) are numbered. Coming 2026:Iron Eagle: Soaring to New Heights! B&M Giga coaster themed to American Eagle! (not confirmed YET)

I was just going to call a Giga but I decided not to post! One of the things that stopped me from believing in a Giga there is that the park just replaced the entrance but if they replaced American Eagle with a similar-named coaster, they wouldn't need to change the entrance that much! I don't care what they do with the coaster as long as the actual height and drop height are 300+ feet (to avoid Orion's issue) and to have a treble clef somewhere. A treble clef is my favorite element that I have yet to ride as I believe it only exists on Fury 325.
Crazy thought: What if they made it the first 500+ foot coaster in America? (I know this won't happen. Something like that would probably go to Magic Mountain. )
Two more! What about if the ride was a RMC T-Rex instead?
Hey, a random thought just popped into my head. What if they did that and sold off pieces of American Eagle to fans like they did with the bricks for the SFGAdv entrance?
P.S. I see you've believed in Iron Eagle for a couple years now. (Literally after posting this, I read those posts on the "Great America's Next Coaster" forum and found the idea.)
I'd love love love a giga here but I've been hoping that will happen for like 20 years lol
So the ride area for Sky Striker is lookin good & still looks like it'll be on for its events? I'm in ORD right now & the weather is nasty so hopefully all that concrete being poured is all good.
No surprise but sounds like the commercial shoot is delayed.
Given the images I’ve seen of the area, it does not seem like it would be ready for Tuesday. You would think at least some testing would have to be done before loading people onto the ride!

No surprise got the email yesterday. It’s delayed to Saturday “for weather”
Hi there,
UPDATE: Due to forecasted weather, your portion of the Sky Striker commercial shoot has been rescheduled to Friday, June 7.
Because you have already been selected to participate, you have the option of two new timeslots. Please utilize THIS FORM to indicate which timeslot works best for you, OR if you must withdraw your participation from the shoot.
Please confirm your participation through the above form by Tuesday, June 4 at 9:00am CST. If we do not receive a form submission from you, you will be removed from the cast list. You will receive a confirmation email after the deadline.
Oh boy. Hopefully the media day stays on for June 6th & the weather cooperates. I have no other time off to do this. In all honesty though, I did find it odd the commercial shoot was before media day at first, however I think it was the same with Goliath ten years ago.

Are you able to send someone in your place if you can't make it ?

Media Day has been moved to June 13th.
That’s no surprise. I wonder if they aren’t actually going to operate the ride for the commercial. It hasn’t tested yet. And they can’t legally load general public guests without the ride being state certified and it can’t be if it hasn’t even tested yet.
I found it through Google. If you have the direct link it works, but if you go to "Events" it's not there.
Google is usually capable of finding parts of websites that are hidden, so I'd take this as inaccurate for now. This page was probably created prior to the delays.

I def do not think it works like that for replacement. I'm still attending. I was just messaging the PR team about it, I'm thankfully off next week as well shockingly. I'm very pleased but I flew in for this so now I'm going to simply spend time with family. So that's good.
Goku - and this is supposed to be for Legacy Passholders/Members ?
According to the event listing, yeah.
I don't necessarily trust this though. Sky Striker's electrical system isn't even done.
A few things everyone needs to take into account -
- This Event isn't listed publicly on the Events Section of the website.See here: https://www.sixflags.com/greatamerica/events - It's before media day. Public opening and previews aren't always after media day but that's pretty suspicious. - No e-mail was ever sent out for this event. - It's also only for Legacy members, does anyone else find that weird? Why would it be limited to people that have discontinued memberships/passes? - A permit was just submitted to Gurnee for Elecrtical work, do we really think they could have this ready and state certified in 1 day? Permit can be found here since it's public info: https://map-gallery-gurneeil.hub.arcgis ... 76/explore
Edit: Looks like Six Flags caught on, the link to the ERT for Sky Striker now redirects to the main Events page.
