Off season 4/17/04 (lots of cool stuff)

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Papas on April 17th, 2004, 3:27 pm
With the nice weather decided to drive up today.
First went to Washington Street, Eagle Red was kickin butt and this was no 1 train crap they were pumpin it like it was open to the public, I walked up & down Wash taking pics then I heard a loud "3-2-1 FLY!," scared the crap outta me . So yeah there was DDV. After Wash went down to Grand where the gates were open. I went up on the hill outside them and took some pics. I was very surprised to see B:TR cycling. Also Viper, and Condor were cycling. We went through the driveway where we saw there was some Volvo event in the parking lot . While I was there S:UF started cycling. I could hear the new song for the show at admissions, I remember the word party in the lyrics. Also I looked in that direction there were people in neon shirts in front of the Columbia I just thaught they were working at first but it looked like they were practicing some kind of dance . So after being in the Volvo area I went back to the front of Grand driveway and saw Bull and Vu cycle. Went back to Wash to see the crew had moved over to Eagle Blue so that was cycling so I got pics of that, Bull cycling, and two of Vu cycling. Then went and ate fresh at Subway.

Rides I saw cycling (they wernt just cycling they were going so fast they were like operating):
Eagle Red.
Eagle Blue.
Dare Devil Dive.
Superman Ultimate Flight.
Batman The Ride.
Viper.
Condor.
Sky Trek Tower.
Déjà Vu.
Raging Bull.
Giant Drop.

Pics coming soon. *note the pics that may look like trespassing were from the Volvo show which was open*

As stated before the pictures from that little part of the lot were from the Volvo show which was open.

were all the cars on giant drop running or was there one just sitting the whole time?
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

So does this mean that wont have that cool ragtime music at the entrance now? And they wont have themed music like they used to?

It's probably part of their effort at maketing "It's Playtime!"

I think Papas did not hear the New Entrance music, He heard the New Show called “Six Flags Party” that is in front of the Reflection pond. Those people that were dancing were most likely the Characters (Not dressed up) practicing their Show.

hold your horses. I just saw the weather channel and they said that Sunday the 18th Madison, Wisconsin and somewhere in Iowa are supposed to get tornados. They said that the tornados wont get here. I hope they are right that no tornado hits here.

The rides are built to withstand the regional weather conditions.
Also Madison is very far away from SFGAm, a tornado's not gonna go that far ;).

I know, but you may want to step the warning level up a notch.

As you can probably tell that I dont like tornados that much. Wait until I tell you a kind of interesting SFGAm story

I know that this post has NOTHING to do with SFGAm but here is a weather report:

Midwest
A front is draped from southwest Nebraska, across Iowa, to southern Michigan over some very warm springtime air. Temperatures south of the front peaked in the 80s with some near-90-to-low-90 spots in Kansas. A new round of severe thunderstorms with hail and damaging wind gusts will develop and cluster along and north of the front from easternmost South Dakota and northwest Iowa to Lower Michigan overnight. On Sunday, the front will lift northward through the Great Lakes toward the Canadian border as a strong windy low pressure area zips from western Nebraska to Minneapolis and then across the northern Great Lakes. A cold front will begin to move eastward through the central Plains. Severe thunderstorms will concentrate near the low pressure center and adjacent areas along the warm and cold fronts from northeast Nebraska, eastern South Dakota and northwest Iowa, across Minnesota, to northwest Wisconsin and western Upper Michigan. Hail and damaging winds will be ongoing threats and tornadoes are possible especially over southern Minnesota. On Monday, the cold front will move eastward with decreasing fanfare and any severe thunderstorms will be confined to Wisconsin and Michigan. The cold front will stall in the Ohio Valley, Missouri and Kansas where thunderstorms will increase on Tuesday and head for the Great Lakes early Wednesday.

Drkstarboard....Calm down about the tornado thing. Just cause a storm is capable of creating a Tornado, doesn't mean it's going to happen. SFGAm will be just fine lol.

Also you might want to edit out that "Case Closed" line on your signature, since forum rules say 3 lines or less ;).

Er, um, there's 32 seats. That should be enough for both of us.
