Wisconsin Dells 4/9/04 - SCAD closed =(

Let us know how your day at the park was.

When I was at Kalahari I had my camera in my pocket in a plastic bag cause I was taking it out taking pictures, etc. I had some awesome pics of the Dells and Kalahari along with Hades but on the first time of the Red Slide it got messed up even though I had the bag zipped etc. When I turn it on the LCD screen it was all liney, any info from people that know a lot about cameras?

So anyway, woke up today in the hotel and went to Kalahari, headed straight for Master Blaster, it experienced a delay in operation when we were in line . It was cool but weak, then went on Victoria Falls, bleh, then went on a couple more slides, and then the red slide. The red slide looked like the oldest ride in the park, it was all dark and dusty and stuff, but it was BY FAR the best slide in the park. Then the 'Pro Bowl' known to me as the toilet bowl, then went on Master Blaster, Then Rhino somehing or other, something else on that tower (flipped over in the spillout on the raft, lol). Red slide 3 more times then Master Blaster twice, then Red slide twice, then Master Blaster. Probably forgotten a couple of the reject slides in the TR cause I didn't have a notebook in the waterpark .

Standout rides:

Master Blaster- 5 rides- This ride gets an A on the coolness factor, as far as actual ride, I say C or D. The ride was very cool, but hey, but the actual experienced was a major letdown. What felt like a trick trac in the dark was the only real good part of the ride, the drops and turns were weak.

Victoria Falls- 1 ride- Awesome layout how it travels outside and all, but the ride was way to boring for my liking.

Pro Bowl- 1 ride- Basically a covered plummet into a toilet bowl, I liked the drop into it better than the actual bowl which was kind of boring, also the capacity was horrid, long time waiting in a short line.

Red Slide- 6 rides- By far the best slide there. This proves how body slides are so much better than raft slides. I am not a big fan of covered slides but this was the exception. I think of it like B:TR, it was REAL intense I could like feel positive g's on a body slide it had a helix right before the spinout, great ride. Too bad I didn't catch its name, lol.

After that I went to Extreme World to see if it was open. It said open daily but no one was working at the ticket booth so I went searching, and I found where they were, unfortunatley SCAD Tower was closed I really wanted to ride it, but it would be kind of painful without a net, they said a new one was coming in from Europe. So I forked out $25 for the Skycoaster. It wasnt huge I cant give a exact number (i'd guess 150ft?) typical Skycoaster, insane drop, rest is all scenic.

Mount Olympis was not open but I drove by and there were footers and some wood up, the guy working at Extreme World said it would be huge, cool.

I believe that Ripping Rhino is the family raft ride to the right of Pro Bowl. Yea they indoor portion of the Kalahari is alright. The website talks about some new Loch Wave Rider ride did you see construction for that or is that outside?

I actually saw a commercial for the Loch Wave Rider thing last night. It looked to me like it will be indoors. It's the same type of ride that they have at Schlitterbahn in Texas. The one where you have a mock surf board and you ride the "waves" and try and do tricks and what not.
