Just to clarify so you know. The park will be closed the weekend of the 21st - 23rd and reopen again on the 29th.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

Probably. Especially Saturday, which should be nice. They're not doing any sort of "buy a ticket for $20" thing like they usually do for opening day, but they are doing a bring a friend for $10 so I'm not sure if that's better or worse.
Ive had a membership since they started, we're good. See ya guys there, on my way!
Oh & download the app, I scanned our passes last weekend at St. Louis & have them right on my phone so I don't even have to carry them in. It's a little convenience. (Sp?)
Getting into the park was disaster. It took about an hour to get into the park. Lines were backed up well beyond the welcome sign in front of the security gates.
Once in, it wasn't that busy. Surprisingly, every coaster was running two trains except X Flight which only had one. Waited the longest for X Flight (about an hour) because of it.
~Didn't get food because all food lines seemed crazy. Very long lines and I was told it was a giant mess. ~Joker was being worked on. A wall was being built around the storage track and cars were being added to the storage track. (I have pictures on my phone I will add later) ~The Lobster hasn't really been touched. Sign says it will open early summer and all the cars and parts are located by Demon in old Sky Trail spot. ~Eagle was closed as they continue painting it. There was a guy under top of lift hill painting and parts of it have been power washed. ~Eagle and Lobster were only rides closed in the park. Everything else operated as normal. ~Mucho Nacho in County Fair Food Court was not open yet.
Overall, pretty solid day for opening two weeks early. Surprised to see two trains on almost everything. Park attendance was to be around 15,000. Tomorrow will likely be busier since it will be 80 degrees.
Yep, that sums it up about opening - disaster to get in but not bad once it. Some little things I noticed is new lights in the parking lot. There is no mire gold pass line & was told it will no longer exist, just one solid line. Batman looks repainted ?? as well as the fountain in the que. villains was open but still shuffling around a lot of merch. Joker looks a lot larger in person & is so shiny. I actually love it's placement in the park. & other than that I took this pic LOL

I dream of the 400ft "Great American SkyScreamer". x
This being the first opening day I've attended I thought it would be busier but no it wasn't. I was able to get on the first and last ride of the day on Raging Bull. I got some great pictures of Joker to.
^ It seems that you guys lucked out due to the poor weather in Gurnee today. I hate to admit it since I'm going, but tomorrow will probably be mobbed.. :/
Btw, do they still rope off lines 2 minutes prior to closing?
^ Yeah we lucked out for sure.Weather wasn't that bad really. Rain didn't start until well after closing. All I'll say is this was way better than last years final operation dat in everyway. I was surprised that Logger's Run and BB were open too. Speaking of opening days I'm just glad we don't have to deal with the problems Cedar Point has.
