I don't believe an RMC Eagle conversion will be likely. They were looking at doing it in 2014, but chose to create Goliath instead. It would almost be repetitive to RMC Eagle at that point. I also wouldn't expect to see a Sky Rocket either. Great America would probably go for a larger, higher capacity launched coaster instead.
2018: Completely agree 2019: Move the water park expansion to here 2020: New launched coaster 2021: A new ride or show

I hope the RMC of AE is reconsidered after the great results with converting Colossus to Twisted Colossus. If they don't something with it, eventually it will be on the scrap heap. I prefer LSM, but SF had added Rocket II to DK. Also, I think costs are more concerning to SF than ride capacity. The 4D S&S capacity are not good. The thing SF likes a 6 -8 mil coaster over the 14 to 20M or more for big coasters. I don't expect to see many, if any, dive coasters at SF parks b/c of the high cost. Either model of Premier Ride launch coasters are about 6-7mil, just like 4D's are about 7-8M. The low cost of the PR launches is likely attractive to SF Corporate.
I'll never get the obsession people here have with launch coasters. Not that I don't think one would be neat, but people keep constantly thinking one is going to be built, and that they know the year, or they're asking for clones of ones that haven't been built for years and years. In reality, though, do we have any evidence whatsoever that Great America has plans for a launched coaster in the next few years or has ever had such plans in the past 15 years or so?
While a RMC conversion of AE seems like a good idea, it just isn't practical. There just isn't enough usable material on AE for it to be converted to an iron horse. Think about it, outside of the first drop and the double helix turnaround, the rest of AE is fairly low to the ground, which wouldn't lend itself to modification very well. I think it's likely that RMC realized the same thing and decided to build Goliath instead.

Colossus wasn't far off the ground either. Building barrel role intertwined among the 2 racing coasters on the low parts is possible doesn't and/or high banked turns on the turnaround. The turnaround could even be inversion. I think it could be a great conversion like with Colossus. Like i said before, no changes to AE at some point will lead to it becoming firewood.
Plus I'd personally rather see Viper RMC'd. They could make a great coaster greater
And also, stop acting like you know what's happening. You don't know what the future will hold for American Eagle, so don't say it's going to be torn down because what you want to happen isn't likely. (And in reality, there would be 2 RMCs 100 feet away from each other. Do we need that again?) (TDK and RC)

RMC didn't "decide" to do anything. They do what the park that is paying them tells them to do. Yes, it's possible that Six Flags came to a conclusion after consulting with RMC, but ultimately it's all Six Flags decision.

It's based on desire and speculation. SF doesn't seemed to be inclined to build Dive coasters or other 15-20M coasters for 3 years running SF's last coasters have been Free Spins(7-8M cost), RMC conversions of Cyclone. Colossus, Roar, and Larson superloops, which they market as coasters. Launches are in the 6-8M range which is the range SF seems to like lately, which is what the Frees Spins and the conversions cost. I don't see SF building the expensive Dive coasters like other theme park franchises have done.
What do you think SF is going to add if not the budget friendly Launches and 4D's? They seem to be showing cost really matters and thus no giga's, dives, etc...

Honestly wouldn't surprise me if we had a few more years like this, maybe with a RMC or a Superloop thrown in somewhere. They really like Justice League and really like 4Ds, and it wouldn't shock me if they kept going until almost every park had one. And the parks that already have those will probably get some of the new flat rides they've been going with.
In a few years, once the 4D/Justice League trend is over, I'm sure there will something else new, and it may be some sort of launch thing (maybe even something that doesn't even exist yet), but the only evidence we have is Six Flags never (that I can think of?) putting in additional copies of any launch coaster they've put in, which tells me there's nothing that they've hit on yet that they think is a good value to spread across the chain.

Most likely JL's and 4Ds will be almost every where just like superloops. Actually i think LSM Catapult (Full Throttle at MM) is a pretty good value at 6-7M and a good ride. I think it's bad having so many clones. having the same ride type is not bad, if they are different models. For example, having 4D's, but have some be the other S&S model or more than MM having a Zacspin. 6 parks currently have launch coasters but they are are 4 different models in the category of launch coasters.

But Zacspin is Intamin and we've discussed their problems before.

Think of it this way: For years, King's Island enthusiasts waited for their park to get an Inverted coaster right? Well that's basically how it is for us. We've been waiting a long time for a full-circuit launch coaster, and it it would *almost* complete our line-up.
Here's how I look at it. SF only emerged from bankruptcy 6 years ago and they're playing it safe still. Small investments in every park every year. Great deals on passes to get attendance back up.
Eventually we'll no longer be able to do Gold Pass + Premium dining for $40 cheaper than Cedar Fair is doing just the platinum passes.
We get upset over the park getting filled with clones but I honestly see in the next 5+20 years some of them being sold off to smaller parks so SF can make room for larger investments again.
And to answer an earlier question, I believe originally XFlight was supposed to go into Wolf's old spot
2018 - 200 ft tall Great American SkyScreamer in Sky Trail’s old spot. Demon revamp like Ninja/Blue Hawk, but keep the Demon name.
2019 - Camp Cartoon removed and a new Bugs Bunny Boomtown in the spot of the go-karts. A “water coaster” slide replacing the Pictorium and a new separate entrance for Hurricane Harbor from the parking lot.
2020 - Premier Rides Launched Coaster called Apocalypse which would replace Logger’s Run, Yankee Clipper, Wilderness Theater, Camp Cartoon.
The part about XFlight going back where IW used to be? I saw it on the internet so I didn't put too much stock in it
Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
There were people who kept claiming X-Flight was going in IW's spot even after X-Flight and its location had been announced. They were just all clueless. I had to correct people all the time online about it. It was never going in IW's spot.

Please stop your nonsense of anybody saying they know what's happening. All the posts were "ideal plan". "I hope they reconsider", "speculations, " and then the logic behind the thoughts. If you have a problem with people expressing their ideas, simply don't respond . Don't make false claims. There is not a single post saying AE is going to be torn down as fact fact or even RMC' on it. It just seems you're very thin skinne on the topic of anybody's ideas or thoughts on improving a ride, that if it remains the same, will eventually be fire wood.
