Honestly, I think this is going to be for some sort of expansion/renovation for Kidzopolis. There is literally no reason for a Haunt to be in a Kid's Area. Idk if it'll be new rides or a new stage area, but I'm going to say that this is 2017 work.

So either a Kids Haunt, A Suicide Squad themed house, or DC Superfriends Land
I wonder if its for a new kids Fright Fest Themed show. Makes sense to put on in the kids section. I doubt its any construction for next year as a small flat does not take long to build.
I heard from someone in the Rides Information center in Mardi Gras that we were getting new houses for Fright Fest. It would be nice if we got new houses also if they made our houses for free with admission.
I am taking my 6yo daughter on 9/24. I'm waivering on whether to stay after 6pm or not. I've been to FF myself in the past and I basically avoid all the zombies and creepies because my mission is to hit the coasters! I don't stay put and keep moving, and they also don't bother you while you're in line.
WHat are everyone's thoughts on a 6yo at FF after 6pm?? I thought the zombies usually sneak up on teenagers (especially girls) and people sitting around on benches?

It really depends on the kid. My kids were 9 and 4 last year. The 4 year old was mostly fine, the 9 year old was freaked out. But sometimes there were times the four year old was freaked out during the day just from the decorations. I will say that (despite all the "No Mercy" stuff) they don't really bother kids too much (but I can't say they don't at all). I'd say it's not a horrible idea to try, but understand it may not work.
Thanks for your input! I'm going to give it a try. I just don't want her having nightmares. WHen she was like 4 she was having nightmares about Ursula (from LIttle Mermaid). Maybe because she saw the movie like 100x then we did the Little Mermaid ride like 10x at Disney.

My 6 yr old son LOVED every second of it, but we had talks with him about how it's all pretend and just people in costumes. He loves monster movies, so that probably helps. He even asked the lumberjacks to get a closer look at the chainsaws....LOL
I would say try it, but be prepared to leave if things get miserable for them.
I would just say to be aware. Get there earlier and see how she reacts to the daytime stuff. If that's going OK, maybe prepare her for idea of scary people walking around, and maybe try to avoid them or shield her. Maybe show her some pictures beforehand and see how she reacts?
Kids areas including kidzopolis close after 6 so it could very well be for s house. Camp cartoon was used for a nox meetup last year, so why not a house in kidzopolis.

I'm guess with Joker taking over RC's spot this might the last year for Gates of Hell. Hopefully this means 2017 also brings in a new haunted house if Gates is no more.

I'll wait and do Fright Fest when they actually do change things up. Same haunts except for the Box stuff. They only did the Brutal Planet theme 1 year which was fantastic. To me that was the best year for Fright Fest.

Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
Theming for FF has started to go up. Nothing substantial, just a few coffins and a fair few strobes going up. One thing I noticed is that they're not doing the MMC preview this year like they did years past. Could this be the year it's leaving?
