We can just barely get up to 300 ft. But I like the idea of a formula rossa style coaster, make it 130 mph and you could easily take the cake for fastest in the US, just beating Kingda Ka by 2 mph.

I still have a dream of knocking down the Pictorium and using that as the queue and station house for a giga that follows along the front edge of the park and back behind TDK before coming back. Sorta like Gatekeeper at Cedar Point it could produce a new iconic image as you enter the park.

I think that would be a cool idea if they could make it happen. I used to love the way Shockwave dominated the sky line on that side of the front of the park!

You know Scooby Doo when they would get into a mine shaft and the goon would chase the gang, and they would get into a mine cart and somehow they would end up side by side? Well what if they some how brought that technology into a ride say you are sitting in a coaster 4 abreast all of a sudden you go through a tunnel and the train splits apart into 2 trains going through 2 different rides. Do you think it would be possible to pull something like this off? Or would it be an engineering nightmare? It seems like it would be incredibly simple, but somethimes the simplest things are the most complicated.
Lol I was just thinkin about that RCT3 coaster! ;D I think a coaster gimmick like that is best for a smaller park that can make a bigger deal about it.
As for the "Formula Rossa" style ride, I've wondered why we don't try that out too. A speed record without the 3-400ft+ mark would be awesome. As long as it's not RingRacer. That poor mess of a ride.
So wait a minute, I thought we were able to go to 330ft...
On my Wishlist, I have an idea to have a fast gigs coaster go around the park. Maybe it could go on top of scenic railway's tracks. If they had to get rid of the train for it, I wouldn't miss it that much even though it's a good ride to rest on.

Don't know if any of you listen, but the Theme Park Blueprints Podcast made their plan for Great America. What do you think? With us knowing about Orbit this year, I don't know how accurate any of this is, but it is still worth a listen. feeds.feedburner.com/ThemeParkBlueprints

One of the following (if all came here, that would be great as well!!)
1) B&M Dive coaster like Sheikra 2) B&M giga coaster like Fury 325 3) Premier Launched ride (either Mr. Freeze or Full Throttle type) 4) Sky Screamer (put it right where SKy Trek is!!)
BTW, I really love the idea suggested about a Giga that goes around park's perimeter.

I'm gonna go out a limb and propose that next year, nobody will be even missing Orbit! It had a good run at 40 years! Better rides have endured much shorter lifetimes here (i.e. Tidal Wave).

CGA removed the train for no particular reason, Stealth actually had the supports designed for the train to go though it, but the train was removed before Stealth opened.

I would love to see that. Done get me wrong, I live v2, but let's face it, its low capacity, and maitnance is crap. And it would be a USA first, and it only costs 9.6 million USD. the double loading platform may help with capacity at least, and we would get in line with mack
Just asking but what is the big deal about B&M Dive Coasters?
Everyone thought they were ok then Cedar Point added on just as good as the rest besides one cool inversion and now everyone wants one. (Fiesta Texas, Silver Dollar, here)
