2016 Hours

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Hours for the upcoming season have been posted. Park opens April 23rd & last day of operation is Monday October 31st. Water park hours have yet to be posted.

Something strange I noticed. During fright fest the park is closing at 11:59 PM on Saturdays instead of Midnight
Kinda funny

Everything is pretty much the same, just the extra weekend at the start.

Only 108 days to go....

I find it interesting they're open on a Monday for Halloween. I don't recall them doing that on prior years when Halloween was a weekday, but I might be wrong. I also wouldn't expect many people to go - I know it's the actual holiday, but it's also a Monday and people are going to have work and school.

I saw that it was open on October 31st a few days ago. If I remember correctly, it's not going to be open all day. Depending on weather, etc I may be inclined to go after work as a last hurrah of the season. I really wanted to go on October 31st this past season and from what I've read it would have been a great day to go (not the best weather so low crowds), but we had trick or treating with the kid. We went the last day of the season and were there a couple of hours and I think the kid got on 2 maybe 3 rides (Giant Drop and the carousel for sure, but maybe one other one). It really wasn't worth the time to go because it was pretty busy!

Time to start jogging in order to shave a minute off the inevitable sprint from somewhere on the other side of the park to Raging Bull or Goliath at closing time during Fright Fest.

Oh, if the park is going to be open on actual Halloween, then I think my plans for Halloween are set this year. I should ask someone, hey do you have any plans for Halloween this year?
