Batman Theming

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Since GAdv got rid of their Batman theming ( crashed car and junk), do you think that SFGAm will do the same?

I hope not.

http://www.eastcoastcoasters.com/ Look at the opening day photos, it shows the theming missing.

Why would they get rid of it, it looks so cool. I doubt that Great America will do the same

Really? Um 1. how do you know this and 2. If true can you provide us with a pic?

I hope this is not the case cause BTR isn't BTR without it. Those three componets really added to the theming and the whole feel for the ride in my opinion. What I don't get(If this is true) is why SFGAm would take this awsome themeing away.... :?: :?

That would suck so bad if they got rid of it. Why? Why would they get rid of the theming?

If they take away the B:TR themeing they might as well change the name all together.

Yeah no kidding. I don't understand why they would remove the theming... that really sucks.

Is it possible that maybe they needed to remove it to paint the coaster or for some other reason, and that they might show up later in the season?

Yea I hope so. I remeber the first time going on Batman the theming added a whole lot more excitment to the ride. My brothers told me that the fan would suck me in. :x

Maybe they are taking it out permanently. It seems like they're trying to make GA more family friendly with the addition of all the flats and a family coaster. They toned down Demon's theming a while ago. Maybe Batman was next. I hope not.

Paint drips, and maybe they didn't want the yellow paint from the ride dripping down onto all the junk. It could just be stored somewhere temporary.

I think its just for painting the ride. If they do get ridd of it though, maybe they are updating the theming to the theming you see on b:tr at wbmw madrid.

Wow it's a shame to know so many Batmans are being 'killed' in just one year. All that theming that made the ride so unique. I loved the garden and the crashed car, the grafitti. It was all part of the whole deal. You can't just take it all away. I hate change. But, at least it's still a Batman ride. I'm sure the station will still be rockin.

I love the old school Batman and Batman Returns styled theming with the prince music in the backround. It would really suck if SFGAm changed the early 90's Batman theming into like a cartoon comicbook style. Now that would suck, but I think they are moving the props so they could get around they ride when they are painting it. It would be impossible to paint around the theming cause it is just every where around the ride. So don't worry about it. :)

Ah the comic type theming.. I saw that at SFNE. Sure it looks cool but after you have read every statistic for every batman character it is kind of cheap and cheesy looking. I like the rough, old school theming, not the cardboard people standups.

If they take out some theming for now they probably did for some good reason, and if they ripped all of it out to replace it with cartoon theming or none at all, well, thats dumb.

Hmmm..... Ethier the GP was getting tierd of it's color or SF was, or to cover up somthing, or um.... I dunno. Who knows...personally I like it's original color (The very dark blue and grey) but the yellow looks like it will look good but it still might clash with V2.

The lift probably takes the longest because of all the stairs and machinery and stuff. The rest of the track probably goes much quicker.
