Left may be a little faster in terms of possible bolting through without much foot traffic. But right is more of a straight line right to Goliath. My advice especially if open on opening day would be go to the left because of pass processing, The train may also be faster especially if there are crowds sit in the second or third car closest to the station platform and you can shoot right off and into Goliath's line.

"Left may be a little faster in terms of possible bolting through without much foot traffic." If you get there a few hours early, and are able to get through the security checkpoint fast enough, and if you're like one of the first people waiting at the chain/rope under the train bridge. A good FAST walk could get you to Goliath at say 10:45am.
The first hour or so after 10:30am, the left side from the Mardi Gras section to Yukon Territory is pretty much clear of heavy traffic. I could easily get through on that side to Goliath.
"But right is more of a straight line right to Goliath." I wouldn't call the right side "more of a straight line", the right side tends to curve a little longer around. If taking the right side, you have to go through almost all of County Fair just to get to Goliath, but on the left side, you only have to go through a small section of County Fair to get to Goliath.
I will have to time both the left and right sides. Also, I wouldn't take the train just to get to the back of the park. I can walk faster than that thing!

There's no way the train is faster. With how long it takes to load and how slow it moves, you would get there way faster on foot.

Yeah, especially if there aren't any security guards in your route.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

There's always at least one you pass by on your route. But if you start running, then they'd tell you to walk, right?

Yeah but it means having to slow down. I was surprised that on Opening day of FF this year, there was a mad rush to RB and guards nor game operators tell any one to slow down.

^I was one of the fools to run to rb at fright fests opening day and I got told to walk by some random supervisor I've never scene before......but usually I run anyways if they tell me to stop I just jog and run again once I'm out of site of them

I usually don't. I was expecting the usually speed walk but the rest just bolted. So I went with thew flow. I was able to run all the way there and nobody told me otherwise. The game attendees just watched.

I'm relatively new to the theme park game, so I've only had to wait a max. of about 2 hours 45 minutes for Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point... Line was only 90 minutes at the time, but once we got about 3/4 of the way through the line, TTD started having it's infamous mechanical issues... There were a couple of shorter (10-15 minute) waits while in line, then we got to the station and loaded... Then once we got in the train, we sat there in the station for about 20 minutes... Then we were told to unload... Had to go back and sit in the que for about 30 minutes before they let us re-load... At that point, I had enough time devoted that I wasn't gonna budge
If we're counting rain delays, I waited 3.5 hours for X-Flight on Monday. It wasn't rain or weather, the whole day was odd. Not sure why but the delays were way longer than they needed to be.

I waited for Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom for 3 hours in the single rider line (and I actually was alone) about 2 weeks after it debuted. Totally worth it, I rode it long after the sun was gone.

In one of the first years it was open I waited 2-1/2 hours for Splashwater Falls. It was brutally hot and I was willing to suffer in order to cool off.
Gatekeeper opening season 3.5 hrs. Was only running 2 trains. Then decided to put the 3rd train in operation. Which took for ever and then of course had to run it empty for awhile.

Me too!! Raging Bull during Frightfest that year had an insane wait time. I don't know when you went but I went the last weekend of Frightfest. Boy, I learned me lesson. NEVER attend FF on it's final weekend unless you and your party can afford a flash pass. Overall, ALL the MAJOR coasters had insane wait times, our party decided to ride only flats that day. We only waited that long because it was all our favorite's coaster and the only time we went to the park that season and we were determined to get a major coaster in. After all that wait, a minute flew by and we were like, lets go again!....oh wait....that horrendous line!
4+ hour wait for Raging Bull during Fright Fest a few years ago. Waited in both overflow lines. In fact the line was long that it almost stretched out into Hometown Square.
