Trip Planning for SFGA

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Hey everyone, first time writer on this forum, I have heard a lot about Six Flags Great America and I have always wanted to go, this Website is awesome and has a lot of good information for trip planning and ideas.

One question that I would like to ask is which rides have the longest wait time on a really busy day during the summer months, and which rides have the single rider lines?

I was also wondering is the Flash Pass worth it, and if so then which level of service is the best at SFGA I have read with the Platinum level you get to wait once and ride twice however I have heard that Goliath doesn't allow consecutive rides so is it better to get a regular or gold at SFGA instead of the Platinum?

My last question is about Hurricane Harbor, is it worth it to go I have heard that it cost $7.00 to get in if you are not a Season Pass holder and if you are a Season Pass holder it is free. So if anyone can answer these questions it would really help-Thanks

We used the Platinum Flash Pass in July and it was amazing. If your main goal is to ride coasters, I think it is completely worth it. We hit 34 rides! On a busy day the regular flash pass doesn't seem like it would help avoid long wait times as it just holds your place "virtually" allowing you to do other rides (in theory if the wait times are about the same). Whereas on a slower day, it might be just fine. The Gold and Platinum both significantly decrease your wait time. With the Platinum we had to wait on average two minutes for our reservation and then went through the fast past entrance and joined the line right outside the loading station. Goliath is also not an option for the gold or regular flash pass and wait times seem to consistently be over an hour for Goliath. With Platinum you get two rides on Goliath (just not consecutive) we also were not allowed to do consecutive rides on Vertical Velocity.

I hope you have a great trip!

Thanks so much for the information on the Flash Pass it really helps me out a lot. I still have plenty of research to do before I start to plan a trip to SFGA, however this really helps.

The only SR lines that can be counted on are Goliath and Superman. However, these can be anywhere from wlak-on to an hour. I would reccomend Platnium Flash Pass if you can afford it.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P
(Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
