I was there yesterday and did some 'recon' from Giant Drop. There were various piles of rubble accumulating there. I'm still hoping they're going to give us something big, but the space there looks too perfect for another dark ride.
re-watching the "Choose Your Path" series and now I'm suspicious about everything. I have a hunch there is a long term plan for all the attractions they mention in the series. Here is the SWAT video for those that may need a refresher course.
Here is a rough sketch of a Full Throttle type ride. It would have to elevate a bit to clear the train and service road. The park doesn't need a zoning exemption for anything under 200 ft as long as it is 500 ft from a residence.
According to the current zoning map, the land on the other side of Washington St. is a combination of O-1 Restricted Office District and Unincorporated Lake County. It is not zoned residential by Gurnee. http://www.gurnee.il.us/files/2015_Zoning_Map_Adopted_04-06-15.pdf
It seems obvious that it's the Justice League Dark Ride. But it seems TOO obvious, at least based on previous teaser behavior. BUT, the park would know we'd think that, so even though it seems fairly clear what it probably is, they've made enough confusion that I'm not sure (as well as some clues that SEEM to imply that it might be something else entirely), so I'm eagerly awaiting the actual answer, which is probably exactly how they want me to be thinking. Good job, SFGAm marketing team.

Their job is to create hype among the GP so people prebuy tickets this fall for the following season, or re-up during a Fright Fest promotion. They're not going to waste time toying with a few hundred of us, at least if their priorities are straight. Anyway, I don't think the videos or social media campaign has any game at all. To be frank, it feels like it's been delegated to an intern. It doesn't take much to excite the GP and thus far, this seems like a wasted opportunity.

Unless I'm forgetting something (very possible) all the media capes have gone to Chicago radio stations and Milwaukee tv stations. I don't think this actually means anything except where the park thinks it can get the most bang for it buck or whatever, but I still found it a little interesting.
To make this a slightly less pointless post, the park posted this regarding 2016 season passes. Two things we could have assumed from past years and one thing that's new:
"2016 Season Passes go on sale September 3 Biggest sale ever on 2016 Season Passes — lowest price and best offer of the year! When you purchase a 2016 Season Pass, you'll get FREE visits for the rest of the 2015 season. Start using it right away. Buy early and receive exclusive access to ride wait times on the Six Flags Mobile App in 2016."

The "give capes to the media" idea has at least gotten them a bunch of free exposure on social media. I think this year's campaign is better than last year's incredibly pointless "choose your path" thing, where almost all of the "choices" ended up being pointless (granted, it was probably hard to 'tease' when they didn't really have much happening).
