That clue with the American Eagle (Coaster with 2 tracks) and that Batman and Superman cape picture that B96 posted really makes me think this may be some kind of dueling roller coaster (S&S 4D most likely) and there might be no Justice League Dark ride coming

Then why the picture today of the capes for Wonder Woman, The Flash & Green Lantern?
A dark ride makes sense on alot of fronts. 1. They run rain or shine, lightning or not. This adds another way to retain guests in iffy weather - critical if they're going to spend all day. 2. They're family friendly which is going to meet the goal of driving their target audience to the park. 3. It's superhero themed. That in and of itself is where the park IS and should be going. Again, this will help sell merchandise.
This ride likely isn't for us, but will be a welcome addition nonetheless. Hopefully our collective gigacoaster desires will some day be met. Until then we'll just have to keep rolling with the punches.

I didn't see that picture yet! Ok scrap the dueling coaster idea, lol
Isn't Swat a little too big of a land for justice league ride well it look like they are trying to throw us off. It could be something other than JL ride that's themed to superheroes. Really weird but anyone saw the new McDonald's commercial the burger is round it got two roller coasters on the sides the background is purple could mcds be heading to sf since pandas out

Umm, can you let us know when and where you saw the commercial, or at least link to it?

Justice League Dark Ride in SWAT spot.
This. If you see anything else that comes true from those photos, I'll buy you some dinner.
And while they do read these threads sometime for their own entertainment, they don't throw random clues in response to what we speculate on. Not much, anyway.

Can we just go back and discuss the phrase "Its confirmed, they retweeted it"... Lets remember folks.. just because the internet said it, doesn't mean its true. (Could be retweeting just to screw with us). Is our park really ready for an interactive ride like this? Look at Dark Knight.. Half the theme inside doesn't even work anymore... its just a "black out" ride half the time I go on it...
however, I would not complain if we got one.. it could be fun:

The re-tweet doesn't necessarily mean that it IS the new ride, but it pretty much DOES mean that it is an official park condoned thing and not some radio station just randomly messing with people. I mean, I guess the radio station could have randomly did something on their own and then the park could have retweeted that to mess with people, but considering that I'm sure they have a whole marketing plan and stuff that would be a really weird move.
On a related note, there's now another Instagram picture, a Wonder Woman cape from WSHE. Keep watching the #sfgam2016 hashtag, I guess.
Oh I am sure they have a marketing scheme. lets be thankful this is not one of those drawn out 1+ month secrets where they keep dropping hints every other day to make us go insane! I would secretly chuckle if its comic related but nothing any of us actually think it is...
And yes, the #sfgam2016 is a good hashtag to follow on all forms
The coaster in that Mcdonald's commercial is Hair Raiser at Ocean Park in Hong Kong & was most likely only chosen because it is yellow & red. Unrelated completely. If we get a MickeyD's in the park & a floorless coaster, I'll apologize
Yeah, I'm one of the goofs who said it's practically confirmed cause of those photos when in reality, I'm leaning towards that so there's no disappointment later. & actually, if the dark ride is confirmed, the ONLY disappointment will be its placement IF its in SWT. I will naturally always welcome a coaster whether its for the thrill-seekers or the little ones of course but I think a dark ride would be a great addition.
After riding JL:BFM today again and seeing everyone's reaction I really do hope this is what we get. My partner, who I thought for sure would hate it actually loved it. For Six Flags this is a stellar ride. I hope that this is a sign that they are stepping up their game to try and compete more with Orlando.
On a side note, I'm sure many are already well aware but I was looking at our park via maps & on google maps, the park is completely updated.
But on a dark ride note, I'm glad to hear it's a great addition to SF. I know its not what we all want but it is something we could use & need eventually.
If its a coaster or two...or eight ... this season then those that have this "every other year coaster theory" will be pleased. but i'm still going with what seems to be the obvious JL ride. If there was more of just Batman & Superman pics posted, I'd be more on a coaster wagon but with Wonder woman, Flash & GL in the mix, I'm on the dark ride train. & no, not a wagon cause trains are more comfortable.

The Instagram from WSHE also says "something big coming in 2016", so that phrasing is clearly something that was given to them by the park. Remember, though, that "big" doesn't necessarily mean "tall", it could just mean "major". The chain's slogan is "Go Big", after all, so they're going to say anything they're doing is "big". (And anyway, they haven't applied for a height variance, so they're not putting in something that the general public would actually consider "big").
Also, Six Flags sometimes just kinda says things that aren't true. Like, every single park has the same ad promising a "huge special announcement" and an "incredible announcement", even though inevitably some of them are going to be pretty lame.

Exactly. It would be totally normal to advertise any new ride at all as "big". It might look shameless in many cases, but hype sells.
If there any one on this page know Jiggidy NDG "He said there was reports of bleachers being demolition in Southwest Amphitheater and he said he heard there was loads of wood were brought into the park". I don't think its far off that American eagle might get a Rocky Mountain Construction rehab on it for 2016 because each year since 2011 but skipping 2012 2013 . six flags been redoing old wooden roller coaster in 2011-Texas Giant 2013-Iron Rattler 2014 Medusa Steel Coaster 2015-Twisted Colossus and Wicked Cyclone
American Eagle is 127 feet tall. They would need to get a height variance for construction (or is that only new coasters?) Plus, RMC already said what locations they are working on, and Illinois is not one of them...

If it were happening, they would have already closed it. Every time they've done a rehab like that, the ride mysteriously closed around now, and then a few weeks later they announced the new ride. And, coincidentally, just the other day they closed Roar at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom...I wonder what that could be about?
(Also, feels like they wouldn't need a lot of wood for a RMC conversion, since they mostly consist of taking off wood and replacing it with steel, right?)
