The park is fine

Sorry for the "useless" topic, but to avoid a bunch of other topics being created, I'm here to say that Great America was not damaged by the storm. Yes, Grayslake(neighboring town) was affected, but not the park. This is not meant to stir up any sort of discussion, just to let people know that the park is fine. Little to no damage was done to the park. Thank you for not creating a new topic about the storm.

Good to know the park made it through unscathed. I do have some friends in grayslake and I hope they're all ok.

There was an EF1 Tornado here, but the most damage done was a few ripped off roofs, toppled trees and power lines, and some broken windows. The Grayslake Highschool probably got the most substantial damage, with a broken roof, windows, and some damage done to their sport fields. The whole road around the school is blocked off. But with school starting in a few weeks, I wonder how they'll repair it.
