The one at SFStl is closed for an extended period now. It has been down more than it has been running there, and we were lucky to get on it in June. Really neat ride, but I have serious concerns about it coming to our park until they can work out the reliability issues.

Eagle hasn't run 3 trains per side since 1985 or so. Maybe they tried again around 1988? It's all a little fuzzy. After the accident (collision in station during rain, right when Six Flags took over in 84 or 85), they didn't want to run 3 trains anymore.

Not to mention they regularly stack 2 trains nowadays... so 3 would be a complete waste of time (unless Holiday World or Cedar Point was running the ride, then it would work well).

I remember the early days of the Eagle; when you would look at the lift from anywhere in the park, there would ALWAYS be 2 trains going up... and the queue never stopped moving.

As for the flumes, they both had their 2nd chutes (drops) welded off years ago; it's been like 15 years or something? Harder to run it to capacity with out those extra run-outs. It's a legitimate squabble, but at the end of the day I'm VERY grateful we still have both our flumes :) And Eagle, for that matter.

I've mentioned it before, and I'll mention it again. I would LOVE to see Demon re-imagined into a launch coaster similar to Maverick. Maybe have a double loop for nostalgia, and a neg g/float hill would be cool but bring Demon into the 21st century.

Maybe rename it "Speed Demon" with a steep, quick climbing LIM lift hill, a steeper drop and a cool LED tunnel. I can see it stop in a dark tunnel and then the glowing "demon" eyes (and maybe mist) before a launch into a few elements similar to Maverick's launch tunnel until the end of the ride. Would be cool if they could include a fire element somewhere. I know the footprint is relatively small, but lots can be done within it's confines to utilize the space better than what it is today.

I think he meant for them to replace Demon with this new concept.

I cant really see them getting rid of it as it really is a way for kids to transition into the "big kid" Coaster. I'd give Demon minimum 10 more years to stick around, I think if they were to replace something it really should be Buccaneer Battle as everytime I went to the park this year it's been empty. Completely walk on and I'm sure it's been like this for a very long time. This ride just has no appeal and a horrible waste of space. A launch coaster does seem like something the park needs, in my opinion we lack on speed and if we got something great going where go karts and BB take up space then it would really add to our diverse line of Coasters. Definitely not next year due to us getting X-Flight and Goliath one after another. But I think that if all they did was improve the park then that would be my "2016 ride"

They could continue their 40 celebration into next year and do some backward Coasters again or a new restaurant even. I know plenty of people that would enjoy something like that and I believe the park really needs it

For years i've imagined that they should remove demon and replace it with an intamin blitz similar to maverick. They could have it in the same spot as demon, as well as utilize the space of the southwest theater and area around it, even putting it through the old sky trail spot. If they ever did decide to remove buccaneer battle that space could be used too and have it cross the midway. They could use the same ''demon'' theme as mentioned in the above quote. Personally Maverick is my favorite ride of all time and I would love to see one at our park. It would be a great hit and easily be one of the most popular rides in the park. If so they could also use the area of the current Demon line queue and move the entrance into Southwest Territory.

If they remove SWAT, Demon, BB, Go Karts, and relocate Little Dipper to RC's spot(yes, it fits), then you have a HUGE space.

But if Demon were to get removed, then they would've done it in 2011 to expand X-Flight a little bit.

We both know that would never happen. Six Flags won't spend all the money to rearrange rides just like you rearrange your furniture.

Even the removal of just the Go Karts and Buccaneer Battle leaves a good amount of space. The only thing in the way is the employee service road, but Goliath goes over the service road, so that shouldn't be a problem for the park to figure something out.

Picture is not up to date, I know, but it's the best shot I could find.

The days of sf parks getting giant B&M or Intamin rides are over if were getting anything next year its probly just a new show or a small thrill ride. I hope its not a clone.

It's a little off topic, but I've never understood why people are generally so against clones. The vast majority of park goers are never going to go to more than one park, so they'd never know or care, and I'd personally rather have a clone of a really good ride than a new original ride that's not very good.

As for next year, I really doubt it's just a show because of how small this year's addition. I have no idea what, but I expect something adults can go on...

I agree. Let's take a look at what we've gotten since 2010.

2010: Little Dipper, Sky Trail, Glow in the Park, Magiquest
2011: Riptide Bay
2012: X-Flight
2013: IgNight: Grand Finale
2014: Goliath
2015: Hometown Park Restored

I say it's definitely time for a new thrill/flat ride. Last time we got any was 2004. (Unless you count Buccaneer Battle or the kiddie rides)

If it is a flat ride, I world love to see one of those Zamperla looping rides like Aero 360 at Kennywood. It has really good capacity for a flat, 48 per cycle.

If any flat, I'd either say a Larson Super Loop in RC's spot( it's perfect dimensions, and Burbon Street Fireball is already in use), or a Zamperla Air Race(more from what I want rather than a company choice, but it can easily fit in Sky Trail's spot).

But I'm standing by my prediction for Justice League.

According to Screamscape, Six Flags may be looking for new ride concepts in place of some previously planned Larson Super Loops. One of those is Zamperla Giant Air Race. So that might by a possibility, actually.
(If the rumor is true, of course.)

That also kind of seems like a reasonable replacement for Condor, if removed.

In it's current state, V2's holding brake is not functional. They have removed TWO of the LIMs at the top to use in the station. You are right about it never being broken. They stopped using it due to structural issues.

igNite ALWAYS was a one year show. I have had MULTIPLE credible park employees (some of whom work in the high ups of the park) (not the stupid lemon chill or dippin dots guy) tell me that igNite was only planned for one year. That is it!

It's has nothing to do with them being out of commission? Six Flags new safety standards no longer allow them to run that many trains, logs, boats, rafts on the rides.

Whizzer stopped using 5 trains because they no longer use the "unload" station that the ride once had!
