The park put it up on purpose it wasn't there on advocate day and if they left it out all winter it would be on that good of condition my guess is that it's some how going to relate to whatever is new in 2016 but that's just what I think
Had a great day at Great America Friday. I was only there from 4:00 to 7:30 but I got in more rides than I probably will for the rest of the season on any other trip! First Ride: Raging Bull, waited about 25 minutes, longest wait of the day. Reduced capacity to two trains, but the trains were being dispatched quickly with little to no stacking. Second Ride: X-Flight, waited about 10 minutes, back row Left side. Best ride I have ever had on X-Flight. You just get whipped down that first drop when you're in the back. I've ridden X-Flight so many times but this one was by far the best. Third and Fourth Ride: AE Red. Blue side was closed as usual and the wait was walk on. Fifth Ride: Goliath. Only waited 10 minutes, the shortest amount of time I've ever waited for it. The ride is so much better when you don't have to wait three hours for it! Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Ride: BTR. Paint job looks sleek, and BTR is running better than ever. It was walk on. Ninth and Tenth: S:UF. As usual, sort of meh but Superman is still fun. Pretzel loop was still awesome as ever! Overall I got ten rides in the span of 3 and a half hours. Even with reduced capacity on some rides, trains were being dispatched fairly quickly. Hopefully it gets even better as the year goes on. The worst part of the visit was V2 is still down, but I saw the train in the station. Also, RagIn' Cajun has a new sign up for Fright Fest, so the decorations were simply hinting at that. Otherwise, it seems like May is really the Month to take a few trips to Great America before things really get booming over the summer!

The sign indicates advertisement for FF....considering we already know that MoT and Necro are no more. It doesn't have anything to do with 2016.
The park has become an absolute and inexcusable joke, they can not have 3 kids rides running before Memorial Day. I'm just speechless. I really wish I had another park to claim as my home park.

^ The rides have been built for a while. They're opening on the 29th since that's the day the park first opened in 1976. Not that it wouldn't have been nice to have them running on opening day, but at least the delay is on purpose.
^ But doing it only in the last hour is also kind of a double win. It helps the guests because we won't have to wait twice as long the other 10 hours for the day, and it's a win for the park because some people will probably stay later for it.
Hello everyone! New to the forums here. I didn't think that this needed a new topic just for a question so thats why it's here. What ever happened to the switchcbacks in Vipers line queue? I knew it was gone, I just really haven't remembered it being there. I've seen some pics... but what happened and why was it removed?
Well, with the additions of Southwest Territory and Hurricane Harbor, space wasn't on the park's side. Also, the ride isn't as popular as it was in the past, so switchbacks are no longer needed.
Hope that answered your question, and welcome to the forums!

I have a thought that Six Flags has cut Construction to 2 groups/crews from 4-5+. One does A the Other does B.
