I wonder if they're going to move that basket ball game in Home Town park to the ropes course plot or if they're going to move it to that Cement Pad by X-Flight next to the coke stand, seeing as that Pad seems to be the perfect dimensions for a basket ball game.

^ That's a good idea that could very well happen. If not, I wonder what will go in the Sky Trail section next year. Maybe they don't add anything.
1. Bizarro 2. Expedition GeForce
3. X2 4. Top Thrill Dragster 5. El Toro 6. Goliath (SFGAm) 7. Millennium Force 8. Silver Star 9. Apollo's Chariot 10. Goliath (SFOG)

I'm actually surprised they are removing skytrail at all. I usually see a decent amount of people on there and it's a pay attraction. I can't see the park removing it without a good reason.

Hopefully a decent flat type ride.
I'm hoping for in 2016 a couple flats for adults to ride. Like one in sky trail, ragin Cajun, trailblazer or whatever that ride was called.
The upgrade this year couldn't have been more timely. I love how they are making the park young again and hope they continue to do so in future years.

I'm shocked that the ropes course is coming down too. I'm still curious as to what will happen with Buccaneer Battle, if it will be removed at the end of this season or not. That video was cut out by that Throw Back Thursday teaser and we never actually got to hear what David said about the ride. To be honest, that ropes course served more of a purpose than Buccaneer Battle, lol. As far as Cajuns plot of land..... I'm willing to bet we will see a Burboun Street Fireball go into that plot in years to come.

I really don't get why people continue to be so confused about BB. Why would they take it out just to leave another big hole in the park?

My wishful thinking is hoping in 2016, SF expands on the Justice League dark ride concept, and installs one at SFGAm. Whether it be in the BB spot or the former RC spot, this is something the park needs badly. I am glad that SF has come to their senses and are installing Sally dark rides again.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I would love to see that! in my opinion that's what Great America should have installed originally in the Buccaneer Battle plot. The intentions of that ride were good, it just never has a line though and is extremely un-popular with the GP. If they put a Justice League Dark ride in that plot, that would probably change everything and start bringing the traffic back to that area.

Good call. Ever since Space Shuttle America left there's been no dark ride at the park (Dark Knight is a dark... coaster). Great family attraction and, if designed right, a huge capacity sucker.

It was said on another board that Dollywood took out there ropes course after just a few seasons because of the liability of people slipping off, etc. While they are harnessed in, its still a big possible liability. The risk of liability probably isn't worht the money the attraction makes.

Good to see Hometown Square will be cleaned up. Hopefully that means the return of the gazebo, new trees in the square and the removed of the hideous stage.

The other area in great need of refreshing is Yukon Territory, especially since they installed the awful go kart track there. That location would be the perfect location for a frontier themed dark ride, such as Knott's Calico Mine Train.

I wonder if they will install a sling shot in that ropes course location in 2016, that would need a height varriance so it won't happen in 2015. I'm willing to bet that the basketball game in home town park will not be moved to the ropes course plot, but instead to that pad by X-Flight because that area not only is the exact dimensions for a basketball game, but it get's a ton of traffic. I always thought they were going to put the County Fair stage back on that pad, but instead they moved it to Yukon Territory.

If they were removing the ropes course because of liability worries, I have to assume it would be closed already.

I suspect they are closing the Ropes course because not many people are going on it. I do see people on it but you have remember they have (I think) 5 workers to run the course. They are only charging $5 to go on the attraction now. I believe in the past it was more but now the price has gone down. They need to get at least 9 people an hour on it just to pay for the employees. Then you have maintenance cost of the attraction and other fees.

This was my thoughts exactly. A lot of people complain about the price of Dare Devil Dive, but if it weren't that expensive, it probably wouldn't be worth it for the park

I know this is an unpopular thought, but I think along with a few others that a "bourbon street fireball" for our Mardi Gras section would be a great idea. While I understand you don't want to call them coasters because they are mechanically guiding and at no point do they truly "coast" they are still fun rides. And in response to the comments about "if I want to ride one I'll just go to the fair"... I don't know about where you're from but where I'm from fairs only last a week or so, and not all carnivals that come through the area have one of those. Maybe I want to ride one and there's no fair in the area I know of that has one right now. I think having one permanently fixed in our park would be a great idea. Having worked at Ragin' Cajun as a ride operator I know the capacity for that was terrible compared to other coasters (we were really running hot if we could get 500 riders in an hour on that thing!) so it wouldn't be a bad capacity option for that area. I really think this would be a great addition for our park in 2016! [/rant]

Again, I don't think anyone is bemoaning the ride itself, but rather the marketing of the ride. Doesn't mean there isn't a place for it somewhere in the future.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we got a Burboun Street Fireball in Cajuns spot, in fact, I would be surprised if we DIDN'T get one in Cajuns plot.

You can even see them in the Google Maps, in a picture that looks to have probably been taken in the 2012-2013 off season.
