Hey guys, I was just wondering about what rides the people in my family could go on no problem to make this weekend trip fun. I'm visiting July 19th and live in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin (15 minutes from Milwaukee). And I've been to Great America plenty of times, but not on a weekend. What time do you suggest I leave by? And what rides/ coasters would my family be able to go on:
-My dad is 225, 6' 0', has a beer gut, and loves to go on anything he can. -My mom can go on things pretty easily, but can barely do the swings at the playground... Anything smooth should be fine with her -My sister will go on anything that doesn't look tall, steep, or that inverts (No American Eagle).
Get there bright and early. So leave at around 8:00-9:00. They open the gates at 10:00, and open rides 30 minutes later. Weekends should get crowded! I would head straight for Goliath, and make your way towards the front for rides. Have lunch at around 1:30, as the lines for food can get horrendous(unless you bring your own food, and eat in your car). If your sister can ride Goliath, she can do anything. Goliath is pretty much the cure to all coaster fears. Demon isn't fast nor tall, but it does invert. Other than that, she(and your mom) would probably do Wizzer and Viper, as those two are the "bridge" from kiddie rides to big thrills. TDK might work for them, but it is unbelievably boring, rough, and the picture pretty much blinds you. As for your dad, he might be able to fit on some rides. The one he probably might not be able to do is V2, as Intamin is the Devil to "Beer Bellies" when it comes to restraints. Your sister might like Revolution(HUSS Frisbee), River Rocker(Pirate Ship), and other flats. Your mom likes smooth, eh? Goliath and Raging Bull would be perfect. Even though those are the 2 most extreme rides in the park, they are arguably the smoothest. X-Flight is also pretty smooth. If everyone can ride Goliath, then just do whatever you want. It can cure any roller-coaster related fear. Pass up Hurricane Harbor, unless you desperately NEED to go to a water park. If you want to get wet, but forgot swim-suits, Loggers Run and Roarin' Rapids should be good. Want wet and hate lines? Buccaneer Battle has a 100% chance of a walk-up to the station. Beware, you WILL get soaked!
Thanks! And I was also wondering about an uncle who recently became high blood pressure free (?) So he can now go on roller coasters! What approach do you think would be best for him?

Start very very very small. Don't risk it too much. A lot is at stake. It is your choice but still I wouldn't take any huge risks
