I went on Demon last weekend and it was strangely smoother than I remember. My ride on that was better than Batman:TR. I don't see the park taking out another coaster for a few years. I say take out Batman and Whirligig, take ERC to RCs spot and take out BBs overflow and remove Batman arcade, shrink the midway down in that area to a more normal size and there's a good sized lot open for a major new ride. Demon would be awesome if they would do some theming updates to it and I think something that unique should overrule a chain park-coaster.

As much as I hate saying this, Batman is going last much longer than Demon. Unfortunately Demon most likely will be the next to go. But don't worry, I'm sure the park will make a Big Deal about it. If B:TR just gets incredibly, unbearable rough (which I don't really see happening) the park will buy some of the 2nd Gen Trains like on Banshee.

I don't see new trains like Banshee ever coming to B:TR. They are wider than the existing trains we currently have. I think its a toss up between the two with B:TR having less room unless the park is slightly creative and Demon which has room but is a classic.

I can't see any of the rides going anywhere anytime soon. I know some people say V2, but that ride is still popular among guests, so I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. And now, the most hated ride at Great America, Demon. It may be the next coaster to go, but it's not gonna be for a while.
Favorite SFGAm coasters: 1. Batman: The Ride 2. Viper 3. Raging Bull 4. Whizzer 5. American Eagle Red (I haven't ridden Goliath yet :P)

People treasure the Whizzer as their first roller coaster and as a classic, nearly-last-of-its-kind Schwarzkopf. There are plenty of other, more superior Arrow loopers remaining than Demon and there are many options for its replacement. I doubt that there will be much outcry if/when it leaves, which will likely be in the not too distant future.

Really?
The worlds first inverted coaster isn't a classic. I'd say it is.

How many identical B:TRs are there around? I rather have something semi-unique over a ride that is at seven parks. If we judge a classic on firsts then Iron Wolf is another classic that shouldn't have left (first B&M, former tallest/fastest stand-up). I think the GP will want Demon over B:TR if it came down to one going.

That is the most amazing post I have ever seen.

Can we make a "dumbest things posted on SFGAmWorld" thread, if one doesn't exist already?

I would also remove buccaneer battle and replace it with a boomerang coaster.

BB sucks but at least it functions. Then again, Vekoma boomerangs are probably selling for pretty cheap nowadays.

There's a rumor SFNE might remove boomerang. I don't think GA would take it. What do you guys think of that. Should GA buy SFNE boomerang if it's removed?

No. GA should not. Plus we probably aren't going to get a coaster this year anyways.

This kind of seems reasonable (The removing part), but just out of curiosity, where do you get your rumors from?

Great America and New England are both Six Flags owned parks. Therefore one park doesn't buy a roller coaster from another. They just get it sent there and receive it.

Well hold the phone, drop your pencils, and circle the wagons. As long as this human is alive, we shan't remove the Eagle, as he was born on the anniversary of its opening.
