Their was one website that I stumbled across with brochures and park maps so I looked for Great America and they had brochures from recent years and they also had one from 1985. I found it ironic when they were advertising Z Force as the Ultime coaster, and they removed it two years later
I like that site. It is cool to be able to look at old maps and brochures and see what used to be here, and what still is. Take a look at http://www.greatamericanthrills.com Somewhere on that site there are a few old maps for PGA, but they are still pretty much the same.
As for Z-Force, I read that it wasn't the most popular coaster Great America ever added, but I could be wrong on that as I was only 1 year old when it opened! I'd guess that if it was not popular, that is why it fell into the ride rotation program?
Once again, I don't know for sure, I'm just speculating.
I was reading the part where it listed all the 1985 six flags properties and i just so happened to come across six flags atlantis, what was it and when did it close? see for your self.... http://www.themeparkbrochures.com/1985/sfgam1985_5.html
I like the part where they list the prices. One day Pass 13.95. Two Day pass 19.95. Then the hours show that in mid summer they were open an extra hour till 11:00 p.m. Wow have times changed
Yeah, it shows that there was Six Flags Property in Hollywood Florida. I would think from the name that it had to do with the underwater world and scenery/rides that associate with it.

I think you meant to say Six Flags Atlanta which is now known as Six Flags Over Georgia which is still open. If I am not right show me a link.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
Since the brochures are arranged from the name of the park at the time they were published their is an older one when the park was Marriots Great America. It was from 1979
Great Catch on the Marriott's Brochure, I found it intresting in the 4th scan that Great America actually sold naming rights to the rides already back in 1979. "First Federal of Chicago's Sky Trek Tower" and "Standard oil Barney Oldfield Speedway" so all you people who complain about the Ice Mountian Splash name change take note that it has been going on long before six flags came to town.
I think it's interesting that they actually used to call county fair "the Great Midwest Livestock Exposition" because it's still on the county fair sign from yukon.
