American Eagle Iron Hoarse Treatment

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Jeffrey Smith on May 29th, 2014, 10:19 pm
What do you guys think of one side of the American Eagle recieving the Iron Hoarse Treatment from RMC while the other side doesn't. The new side could corckscrew over the other side. I think that would be very interresting . How about you.

1. We are getting Goliath, so why would Six Flags give us the Iron Horse to American Eagle?
2. This has already been discussed a lot.
3. A wooden coaster with a corkscrew?
4. No.

It's a cool idea, but no unfortunately it won't happen. The best treatment we could see for eagle is maybe some maintenance topper track on the helix and a new paint job.

I said no because I'm pretty sure a lot of people would agree that this would ruin a classic racing wooden coaster.
It just wouldn't seem right to have one side be a classic wooden coaster and one be an inverting RMC.
No offense

There is no reason for this to be done to American Eagle sense Goliath is right down the midway. American Eagle should remain the awesome classic that it is.

And about Iron Horse on American Eagle, no. Just no. It's the best racing wooden roller coaster out there, and if you've ridden any of them, (Rebel Yell, Racer, etc) then you'd know that. Getting Iron Horse on American Eagle would just make another extreme RMC coaster? We don't need that when Goliath hasn't even open yet.

Agreed. Eagle does need new paint, new track on the helixes, and a cleaned up station and it's good to go. I know a paint job has been in the park's plan for a little while, but it's a very costly ride to repaint.

Yes, due to the fact that American Eagle used over 9,000 gallons of white paint when it was painted.

I almost chocked you a$s ;D LOL

With no disrespect, this has been discussed far before we even knew there was a Goliath coming & it has become tiring. AE is a great coaster in need of some great TLC is all, not a re-vision of the ride. However, I would love a true RMC hybrid steel coaster to our line up one day. There is nothin out there like the Texas RMCs, I am especially obsessed with Iron Rattler. From every rider I know who has experienced both of RMC's products (Outlaw Run vs IRat), I've been told they are not similar at all.

If you think this makes no sense to have Goliath in the same park as an Ibox coaster, that is like sayin it makes no sense to have four B&Ms. Each product is different. They just arrive from one company. A steel coaster from RMC would be gold here, they are smoother than any B&M I've ever ridden & I hate to admit that kinda haha. But they're fantastic.

So, instead of a "re-make" of a coaster, I'd much rather see a new one. Leave AE as is, its a beautiful creation. Let's enjoy Goliath... when we can in 2015. I kid I kid... Fright Fest. ;)

Rumor has it that a RMC knockoff company from China will have a booth at the next IAAPA selling this innovative technology.

This has been discussed before. And Hank also mentioned they looked into it at the Ace event last year. Eagle can, under very specific circumstances get this treatment. The catch it the cannot make any significant changes to the ride due to zoning near Washington and I-94.

The entire park needs to be cleaned before they should consider adding any new rides to the park. I was at the park on Sunday with one of my friends, and all they did was point out every little cobweb, bird nest, paint chip, and specs of dirt all over the place. We were just at Cedar Point and you can't even compare the cleanliness of the two places...it's also ironic how they called themselves "Cleanest Theme Park" before. The park can't hire a few dozen minimum wage people to clean the entire park a week or two before they open?

Anyway...no. Eagle should not get any kind of Iron Horse treatment. It should get a power wash and a paint job first.

Who do you think cleans your garbage in the parking lot after close and before opening the next day? Midways are hosed down at least every other morning in sections.

Kinda like when you're with people who would rather do nothing and complain about the too long lines for hours instead of "doing nothing" in line for hours and actually get to have fun on the rides every so often.
