I completely understand that part. I'm planning to use one of them in July and the other in October. Doesn't say anything online, but on paper there's "one time use in 20014." I would like to use both of them. Yeah :?

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P

If they show two online, then I have to assume you can use two. Like it says, they will add bonus offers. Of course, no matter what anybody here says, the only way you'll know for sure is when somebody tries it.

I can't imagine why they'd put 2 coupons in there if you could only use one. I think they want to make it clear that each coupon can only be used once.

Just a quick FYI, we made our first visit on Saturday and got the pass cards at the front gate when we scanned our printed passes and scanned our fingers. We then went to pass processing to get the parking (Gold) activated on our cards. Entire process took about 90 seconds. No line to wait in and everything went smoothly!

I hate the bring a friend free passes during FrightFest. Too damn crowded and you really can't enjoy yourself.

Question about how parking passes are working this year: Do they just look at or scan the pass when you drive in, or do they require id or a fingerprint scan?

I have a membership with an old pass but I'm pretty sure the new and old work the same way so just a scan

I just bought a season pass through online and printed it for tomorrow. I'm planning to go to Six Flags Great America with my ONE friend because the park allows all season pass holders to bring a friend for free. What should I do with my PRINT for bringing my friend for free? Because I don't have the card yet, but I will get it tomorrow. Have you done that before? Any comments? Thank you.

I think if you just tell them at the turnstile you should be fine - If I understand the current process correctly, at the gate they'll give you a pass, and at that time you can just bring a friend in, shouldn't be a problem.

For that to work the coupons would have to load on your season pass the instant you get it. I dont know whether or not they do right away.

I do believe it will load right away. I got a peek at the system they use because I was facing some issues with my dinner pass. It tracks every time you get your card anywhere. They were able to see every thing I bought in a log down to the minute. They even pointed out that I used my pass discount at a store and how much money I saved. I dont think it will have any issue adding discount and friends for free as soon as it is activated.

I do have to give the park props for trying to get the new system working smoothly. When I went yesterday there were lots of supervisors and management at the front gate helping with any issues. When the scanner for the line I was in was giving a family problems, they actually sent someone over with a handheld scanner so we wouldn't have to wait. The new system obviously still has some bugs to work out, but it was good to see them making an effort to make park entry as smooth as possible.

I had pretty much the opposite experience yesterday. Of the four of us, two of us had problems, we had to try over and over until eventually the person at the gate called somebody over, but she seemed really annoyed about it the whole time. Even worse, one of the people it didn't work on was a three-year-old - you try explaining to a three-year-old why she has to keep pressing her finger down over and over and be sure to not move it. Eventually they overrode it for her, but I'm not looking to having to do this every time. It's even more annoying because our passes actually have pictures on them, so that would seem to be enough to prove it's the right person, but I guess not...

There's a special line for single day ticket holders to get in, and plenty of signage for it too. I was really upset about this because the line to get in was long because of that stupid finger print thing, but then I played dumb and went into the single day line. Got right in

The new bio-metric system is dumb. They apparently put it in place to eliminate the need for a Season Pass photo (so no more queuing on opening day for that photo). Now that that line is eliminated from Hometown Square, you do all the waiting at the front gate, how great! Not only have I had problems with getting into the park yesterday and today, they restarted the machine (which runs on Windows XP, no biggie) and it seems like a total bust. The finger scanners take longer to approve someone's finger that the old system where you scan your season pass, the employee checks the photo, and you enter the park. Huge disaster in my opinion. Last year, there was little to no waiting where you scan your pass, but this year, the line starts right where you enter after the security stop. While I dream one day of them returning the old system, I don't see them doing that after shelling out all this money for the new system (that they probably assumed would save them lots of trouble).

I'm sure it will improve as the season goes on, but after my 5th visit to the park, it seems to have only gotten worse.

My understanding for the reasoning behind this change was to eliminate the sharing of season passes between people. The pictures on the old passes were so distorted that most anyone could use anyone's pass to get in to the park. Now that your finger print is tied to your pass, it seems much more difficult to share passes.

With the Bio-metrics scanners now in place. I am wondering how they are going about maintaining them. I suspect these new scanners will require a lot more maintenance then the old scanners. I hope they keep up on maintain these scanners or by the end of the season there will be only one scanner working correctly. Also they really did not eliminate pass processing because if you want to add parking to your pass or dinning you still had to wait in the long line. What they need to do is have it were you are able to add dinning to your pass or parking online. You should be able to enter your pass number add it right on line. It would save tons of time and manpower. Also I wonder how the season pass renewals are going to work. I hope they will set it up where you can just enter your pass number online and it renews it. This way they do not have to reissue you a new pass every year.

We were not the first Six Flags park to get bio-metrics. Another park (St. Louis I believe) had them as a test run last year. I'm sure the lines will get better as the season goes on. They wouldn't have pushed forward with it if the lines remained this way all year.

I have not seen the line in the processing center extended onto the Midway. Back when you needed your photo taken for the pass, the line would spill onto the Midway and curve around Hometown Square.

Maybe it's because the system was new last year but I didn't have to during FF. The lady at the front gate scanned my SP voucher and the SDP voucher at the same time. Haven't had a problem with either yet. (Except for the trainees who go cross-eyed when I order food and hand them the card   )

I entered the park today for the first time using my pass and I had to do nothing. My parking and dinning loaded to the card when I scanned my paper ticket at the front gate. Very convenient!
