^ When Schwarzkopf went bankrupt Gerstlauer acquired some of what was left of the company and took over manufacturing parts for Schwarzkopf rides. So if for whatever reason they really wanted to run Whizzer backwards, Gerstlauer could probably make it happen somehow.

I am pretty sure there are break fins on both sides so you would just have to wire the motors backwards to get them to go up the lift. I think its possible somebody please correct me if I am wrong about the wiring of the motors or wrong in general for that matter.

Sorry, I know a lot about Whizzer, but I have never seen the details of how the gearboxes work.
that would be extremely easy to run Whizzer Backwards, just gotta flip the the anti rollback around. It's a 3 phase motor if it hits the lift and goes the wrong way, in the gut all they gotta do is flip phase B and C and the motors will run in reverse. Gearboxes would function the same.
I don't think SFGAm would ever consider that though

SFGAm should just buy backwards trains for AE: B and keep that side running backwards permanantly. That should at least satisfy the people who want to ride a backwards coaster.

It would satisfy most of the GP and that's good business for them. But we've all seen what having Backwards Blue can do to the usually walk on American Eagle. I wouldn't ride it as much because if the rest of the park is crowded, there's a good chance AE is a walk on. Defiantly not the case with Backwards Blue.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
Not sure if there is such a thing as a backwards wood coaster train. Though I guess they could get something custom made. I'd guess PTC would be willing to make something up, or get rid of the banking in the final helix and it can probably run non-articulated cars.
