Also there is a gigantic difference between Whirligig and a Sky Screamer, Sky Screamer of any height is extremely marketable, Whirligig isn't no matter how vivid some peoples imagination might be, besides of course it's also 38 years old.

I'm sure the very same was said before SFStL got theirs. Given Six Flags' recent trends and occasional cases of redundant installations, I still see it happening there or at Condor. Not a matter of if, but when and where...
I'm sure you are right but what happens when the novelty wears off? And all you have is a 300ft tower with no riders on it? It makes for a pretty expensive lightning rod. I mean the park thought BB was a good idea and look at it now no lines no waiting no interest.

I don't know... someone here want to chime-in with Tower and Drop's ridership? Both were common-installations in their day and still seem to do fine, now.

Maybe I'm wrong but Six Flags hasn't exactly been crapping-out as many Mack Splash Battles over the past several years.

I don't know if it would always be a top tier ride with hour lines or anything, but a SkyScreamer seems like a pretty safe concept. There are still usually lines for Condor and Giant Drop and Whirligig, so if you combine them I think that would be popular too. BB was more of an entirely new concept, so I think it was a much bigger risk.
Maybe but I would just like to see something more for everyone. Not everyone is going to want to be 300ft in the air with 4 chains holding them to a wicker and steel chair. I think a Disko Coaster might be a better bet and possibly moving Jester's somwehere else in the park, and maybe putting a new flat in Jester's old spot. But thats just me.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
I'm not opposed to it at all. Sky Screamers are great rides, they're very marketable, and they're very popular with the gp. There also very easy to reprogram, so you can change the ride cycle to keep it new, including running it backwards. I think a version like Great Adventure got with the colorful tower and light package would look great in Mardi Gras.

Right, just like how the novelty of laying below the track wore off, and now Superman never has any lines!
