How do you get in the park?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Which way do you get in the park thrill pass, regular season pass, gold pass, membership, Xtreme pass, VIP tour, etc? Which add-ons do you get season dining, parking, etc?

Do you use the traditional parking lot or do you park in the back?

I don't think they have the Xtreme Pass anymore.

I have a Gold Pass with the Dining Plan and Pam has a regular Season Pass with no Dining Plan.

We always go together, so only one of us needs parking and I usually drive.

With some strategery, and with our combined weight being about 280 pounds, we can get enough food from the Dining Pass for one to feed us both.

This season I have the Gold Pass and use the Washington street entrance, always.

A trip to SFGAm simply isn't the same without driving under American Eagle.

Angelo's pasta can definitely feed 2. I have gold and dining. I haven't used the other lot yet.

Does that entrance go any faster than the Grand Ave entrance?

Usually they only have one or two booths open, but most of the cars using the Washington street entrance have parking passes so that keeps a steady flow. It never seems as crazy as the grand ave entrance IME.

Many times Ive gone late enough that the booths are empty and you just drive right in

Next year, it would be easier if they just made the Washington Street entrance for season parking pass holders only, allowing it to go faster down there

I swear I read something this year that was basically marketing the Washington street entrance as an "exclusive passholder entrance" which is clearly BS, because there is no signage saying so and anyone can go through that entrance.

I think it would be a great idea for it to be for those that have parking passes or pre-paid parking. Def would speed things up and be a great perk for passholders.

Yeah, it says that in the season passholder coupon book.

HA, so there is it. I highly doubt they are only letting season pass holders in the Washington street entrance. Anyone know for sure?

I prefer going in through Washington Street but Grand Avenue also works.

Getting our gold passes for next year processed today.

Is there any obvious advantage to the Washington Street entrance? Where do you end up parking in relation to the main gate?

EDIT: Took the Washington entrance today and probably will from now on. Driving under the Eagle was cool. Definately saved some time using this entrance although the crowd was light this morning.
