ERT always that busy?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

The lines were very long tonight during the ERT for the season pass holders. This was my 1st ERT. Is it always that busy during ERT or do you guys think that was just because of igNIGHT?

It's always packed. That's why I call it "Lines After Dark" instead of Coasters After Dark

I remember back when they first started doing it and there were no lines hardly for anything! You could easily get on everything and do some rides twice. That's why I don't go anymore. I feel like the lines are longer then they are when you go during the week sometimes

That's what happens when more than 30% of the people that come to Six Flags are pass holders. I even think the CEO guy said that this year, its' 40%. Plus, I remember before they used to have 3 of these Coasters After Dark. Now, there are only 2 of them. And yes, the Ignight thing did help a very little tiny bit, but these Coasters After Dark are always crowded - You can expect lines at 2 pm to be about the same as when the Coaster After Dark event is on. So, if your 2pm line for V2 is 40 minutes. Expect about that type of line for CAD.

In the last 2 years, all of them have been really busy except for the first one back in 2011. There was a threat of rain on that day, and most people stayed away from the park in general on that. Even fewer people came just for the event and most people left by the time it started. I got on around 14 rides that night and was the only person on Demon for a few laps. It hasn't been like that since. Hope for potential rain, or a good downpour early in the day that will leave the night untouched. Then I think fewer people will be there for CAD.

The only reason the first one in 2011 was empty is because it was in May. Once they moved it back into June, its been hell ever since. Makes me glad I work Friday nights now, just to make sure I'm never tempted to try again
