Batman the Ride, Superman Ultimate Flight, Viper, Whizzer, and X Flight ALL have only one train in operation which is REALLY going to SLOW the lines down TREMENDOUSLY! The line for Superman will probably be at least two to three hours long, the line for Batman will probably be at least two to three and a half hours, the line for Viper will probably be at least an hour to two and a half hours, the line for Whizzer will probably be at least forty five to nighty minutes long, and the line for X Flight will probably be at least nighty minutes to two and a half hours. All these rides are going to have EXTREAMLY LONG lines because they ALL have only one train in operation!
You want some cheese with that whine? Nobody is forcing you to go so if its a big deal stay home or do something else. Yes it sucks that they only have one train on some rides, but we have a great collection of rides so maybe we should just deal with the fact that (like all tickets and season passes state) rides subject to availability, this includes the amount of trains. And where exactly do your wait time estimations come from? Because as someone who lies in Waukegan it's rainy and cold out today and the forecast shows the same thing for tomorrow.

1) No way it will be that busy
2) Maintenance has a tremendous task every year to take apart every train and rehab it for your safety year in and year out. Personally I would rather ride safe rides and wait a few weeks for extra units then have full capacity on everything with a risk of failure.
3) Not all of your numbers are even accurate, if your going to complain at least complain about facts
4) If you dont like 1-3 then you can do as others above had said and not go. Nobody has a gun to your head and is forcing you go to opening weekend. If its such a waste of your precious time, then by all means wait and go another day.

I feel like people are not listening to your posts....maybe if you capitalize more words you'll get your message across! :-p
I agree with your frustrations about the trains. I don't think it's right either, but the whole thing is that we can't do anything about it. Contact the park through email or a phone call, and talk to them nicely. Hopefully, a lot of people will contact them, and next year they would get their act together, but having all these topics, and posting the same things over & over isn't going to get Six Flags to add on the trains to these coasters.

That was a great. I've never heard that one before.
Anyway Mike, discussing this over and over is not going to change a thing. If you don't like this, then go on a day when everything is up and running. The park is not trying to make their opening day their best, so don't expect them to.
I wasn't at the park this weekend, so I don't know if the original poster is correct on ride operations regarding one train operation. But if he is correct that is a sad state of affairs, and what worse is that some people on this post think this is great and the park deserves kudos's for having a 6 month off season and still not being able to get most of the big rides operational!! From other parks that have opened this year i haven't seen similar reports of so many main rides running at such a low capacity. And as long as people are ok with this performance the park will have little incentive to manage there rides better.
^^You are wrong with that in regards to capacity being this bad EVERY year. Yes, for a few years now they haven't gotten Superman to 2 trains, but that's about it. You are sugar coating 5 coasters with 1 train operation.
What I don't like are people that are defending the park in regards to them having 1 train operation on coasters because it will just get worse and worse year after year. Next year, 6 coasters will have 1 train operation. It's okay for enthusiasts, so why rush on putting on the other trains for coasters.
I agree that 10 posts on here by one person saying they should have all coasters 1 train isn't going to help, but to say it's okay, and just let it be is not right.

I know that I will not come opening day anymore if they are not prepared. If they keep getting rid of things off the dining pass I will not get it anymore. It is a shame they took the Turkey Legs off the Dining Pass. I could see that they were losing alot of money with that item.
I've reread all the posts on this topic and there hasn't been a single person who has said it's "okay" for the park to have 1 train operation on the major coasters.....BUT everyone who has posted has basically said (in lack of better words) "it is what it is so deal with it!" No amount of complaining or whining in 10 different posts changed anything. And as someone else mentioned, the back of your ticket/season pass says that some rides/attractions may not be fully available...
Bottom line....all coasters (except AEB) were open....I'd rather have that then the park not even bothering to open all 5 of them due to the fact only one train was ready to go on each. It's not like the park tried to purposely hold trains back.

Well, the Dining Pass thing was only in a test phase last year so they were bound to modify something....
I just hope the park looks at this year as a wake up call and does what ever they need to do to prevent it from happening again, whether that is approving more hours earlier in the offseason or hiring more mechanics, whatever.
I am right in terms of every year. To some degree, there will always be reduced capacity; Although it varies from year to year. This year is just worse than usual because of BTR backwards and I'm sure there are other factors that contribute to it as well.
This weekend had four coasters with one train....not five. Viper did have two and was the shortest wait.
And as for Superman, are you F-ing Surprised?! Superman has never had two trains opening weekend as far as I can remember. Ugh, Superman is an overrated POS....the only time I ever ride it is with a Flash Pass and I couldn't care less if it ever ran two trains.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
^ Superman had 2 trains on opening day every year until 2008. And although pretty much no one here cares about Superman anymore, it is still one of the top rides at the park for the GP, and it being consistently 1 train op opening day every year is not something that the park should be okay with.

I know for a fact that the Turkey Leg's at JB's BarBQ in County Fair are on the meal pass. the girlfriend and I played hooky from work yesterday and I ate that for lunch.

Ok that is great thank you. Did it show that it was on the menu because when I went Opening Day it did not show that it was an item for the Dinning Pass.

It's not even on the menu, I saw the platter and just asked them.
