I'm sure they will close the lines to the GP at 9pm, and allow anyone in line before then to ride. After that anyone can stay and wander the park, but just like the Coaster After Dark events, if you don't have a season pass, or in this case, a wristband, then you will not be allowed in any lines. It's annoying to have a bunch of people crowding the midways for no reason, but I am pretty confident that they will not be getting into any lines.

I will be there, but probably not until later. I am trying to not expect what Six Flags is promising as "no lines", but hopefully they deliver on their promise. Either way it will be fun to ride coasters until 1AM!

I have received a couple posts "reporting" this topic as inappropriate and sexually suggestive.

This topic will not be closed or deleted as it is perfectly fine to post here. Thankyou. 8)
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Can I stay at the park after 9pm? I'm straight and I support LGBT no matter what people are. We're the same human just like everyone else.

^ As long you purchase the special ticket and get your wristband for the event before 9pm then you are good to go. I don't believe this event is about excluding anyone, well besides bigots. 8)

Thank you, we don't attack anyone, but some people are looking for gay friends, just don't wear the wrist band and show it when needed for rides, the $ does help a good charity TPAN (Test Positive Aware Network) http://www.tpan.com/
I wish I could afford it but I just paid $67 for the 2013 Gold season pass but I'll still be there til 9pm

alexlohan wrote:Yeah, unfortunately you have to purchase the $35 ticket for the day (includes free parking) and then around 6-10pm, there's a meet up to get our wristbands at a specific location in the park. Apparently, there will be employees at the entrance of each ride making sure all people entering the queue have wristbands on. However, I'm sure that the general public will be able to wander the midways and such until 1am, they just probably won't be able to get on any rides. I can't imagine there will be enough employees working to "kick out" the GP; then again, I'll bet 75-80% of the GP there that day won't even know about the event that night and will exit the park at 9pm. The event is not at all about excluding straight people--in fact, most friends I know going are straight and are supporters of the LGBT community--but regardless, the $35 ticket must be purchased to ride the rides at night. Might be worth it just for the experience of no lines or very short lines and riding all the rides late into the night with DJs spinning music throughout the park's midways. Oh, and half priced drinks :D.

There no reason to kick anyone out of the park they may still spend money on food and stuff they just can't get on rides, that may make people leave the park.

I'll be going to the park in the afternoon, and staying until close (9pm). I'm not paying the extra fee for the party thing they are doing. I hope it's a good time for those that go - I look forward to the trip reports. I wonder what rides will be open? Will American Eagle be a racing coaster that night?

I kinda sorta wish they would call it something other than gay day. Maybe a little more inclusive title to include everyone, and friends of everyone. But it's progress, a good thing.

I hope it turns out to be a great day! With the end of the season rolling around, this is one of our few last days to visit the park. I've been with out coasters for 2 weeks now and I can feel it!

Wow, I am actually surprised that this event is going to be that busy. I didn't think that so many people would pay extra money just to stay in the park for a few extra hours. I mean I would if I was going but I didn't think that this many people would.

Do you have any idea what an average attendance day is at SFGAm? Really. 3,500 may not be "Last Blast" level empty, but 3,500 certainly does not equal standing in any lines.
