My friends and I are going to the park this weekend and I was wondering if they continued with the whole bringing backs on ride policy. Last year, we could bring our string totes on rides if they remained on our backs. Can we do that again or no? Have things changed? Also, what's the policy with lockers? Can we rent a locker for an hour and then go back and get our stuff and move it to another locker?
Last Visit, American Eagle BACKWARDS 5 times in a row right before the park closed. I cannot WAIT to go back for Fright Fest!
This year, there are absolutely no bags allowed on any roller coaster, even Whizzer. Have to leave it in the bin. If you want to move stuff from one locker to another, you have to pay again.
The only "bag" you can wear is a fanny pack that has a buckle. Everything else must be put in the loose article bins. And you can't hold anything in your hand while you ride, so if you feel that your items will get stolen, you should get a locker. (I have left my iPhone 4s in plain sight in the bottom of a bin multiple times and it has never been touched. The most popular stolen item from the bins are the sportsbottles... only because other riders forget where they put theirs and grab someone elses.)
Wear cargo pants and store your stuff in your pockets. If you buy souvenirs or win large prizes, wait until you're planning on going to your car to get them.

I don't think that's the only reason they get stolen - sports bottles. Ithink it really comes from the $1 drinks after the first visit. People don't have to have a wristband to get a $1 drink from them. They are just stealing them. If you have no one in your party that sits out on rides (A flat ride though should be easier to get to your own sports bottle without anyone stealing it!), I don't see a reason to buy one. It's a different story if you have someone not riding anything. It's got to be such a hassle with bringing that sports bottle everywhere, and also worrying on every single ride you go on, if it's gets stolen.
They really need to do something else so that people won't steal them. Maybe, have that the wristband that you have to cut off for the unlimited drinks for the first day, and have a wristband that you can take off and on for every other time you come (more like a watch without the clock obviously). If you don't have a wristband, than too bad. You can't get a $1 drinks. This would help eliminate the stealing. They can't put it on your season pass because not everyone that gets a bottle is going to have a season pass, and if they say every visit you have a bottle, get a coupon, well people could steal it that day, and get a coupon. Receipts people can easily loose over time, so that's not good.
The 3rd best strategy I can think of if you are leaving your sports bottle behind is to mark it somehow. (Well, the #1 best strategy would be definitely to give it to someone that isn't riding if that's possible, and the #2 strategy is don't even buy it.) I'm thinking whiteout - write a number on it - big numbers. So, that no one will steal your sports bottle. They are going to pick one that looks like everyone elses. Make yours different, and they won't touch it.

After having 2 stolen last year, I came up with something that i feel is rather ingenious.
I took one of the lids from last years bottle (red) - wrapped some colorful duck tape (the name of brand) on the handle - and use that on my blue bottle for this year.
No way in hell anyone can say that they didn't notice that it isn't theirs
Plus, I can track them down if they took it. I'll do the same next year and after. So far, works like a champ. the thing is the only thing noticeable in the rack is the lid on these things.

Absolutely not allowed on any rides and if your stuff gets lost or stolen parks not responsible for it so pack light or wear cargo pants with a button or zipper pockets so youre phone, keys, wallets wont fall of the ride. Yes the water bottles are the most stolen item I know a lot of people who losts theirs every season a rider suggested that if you put the whole thing in a dark platic bag so they cant see it and wont think its theirs good suggestion but I dont know if it works.
When the wife and I got our extreme passes this past Saturday, the customer rep put the wristbands on the bottles them selves. It didn't make any sense to me. It screams take me I'm free!

yeah. They've been starting that this year.
That's why I politely ask them to take it off the bottle and put one around my wrist.
Well, so far this year we've been to the park 4 times and still have the bottles. They're coming in very handy in all this hot weather. getting Ice water is the best! Got a pop at the place by columbia and it was terrible..lol. People looked at us like we were nuts pouring out our pop down the rain drain.

^^^^off topic but why did you get an extreme pass june 11th? you just payed for seperate entrance to park/waterpark, and some sports bottles. you missed the ERT for raging bull and X-flight so that was pretty pointless

We had season passes already and upgraded to the extreme passes.
