Rumor has it that Great Adventure will submit Bizarro for the Ride Rotation. There is speculation for Great America getting this coaster either in Iron Wolf's spot or at S:UF or Whizzer's location. Would anybody want to ditch any rides for Bizarro? Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Demon go despite its age. The only question then is space. Please no rude or stupid remarks
Great America got it's big coaster already. That being X-Flight. We got rid of Iron Wolf, and they gave us X-Flight. We are done with that program right now. As for Iron Wolf and Bizarro, there is no way they would fit that there without demolishing a lot of stuff. They would even have to move the train station somewhere else, and I don't think that's going to happen.
Look at other parks that didn't give away or get anything yet. That being SFOT, SFFT, SFStL, SFOG, SFGAdv (as you said), SFGE. Us, SFMM, SFNE, SFA, SFDK, SF Mexico rotated / demolished the stuff already even though SFMM is getting the new ride next year. Demolished stuff are things like a Splash Water Falls at SFNE, Skull Mountain at SFA, and a Log Ride at SFMM.
The way this program has worked in the past is that they tend to give away rides with low capacity, they are terrible / rough, or are more maintenance type of rides. SFGAdv's Bizzaro is something different. It's located I think in a dead end area of the park all the way in the back, so it gets a lot less riders. My opinion is that these would be the rides on this program because of those criteria, and the reason why I think this program is garbage.
SFOG: Ninja SFStL: Ninja SFOT: La Vibora --- I think out of all the parks, they would get the Bizzaro coaster because they are bigger type of park with only ONE B&M ride. It doesn't make sense why they don't have more than one. SFGE: Our old Rolling Thunder (because of lower capacity & won't run in the rain) SFFT: I think they would probably demolish something and get something new before they trade something. There isn't a lot to trade there in my opinion. Rumor has it that the Rattler might get fixed up so they could just not participate in this program to fix that ride up. And you said SFGAdv: Bizzaro
--And let's look at what they did in the past.
--Boomerang from Kentucky Kingdom to SFNE (Low capacity / Rougher) - 3 parks --Rolling Thunder (Low Capacity / Doesn't work in Rain) - 3 parks --Another bobsled went to Over Texas from Magic Mountain (same reason as above) - 2 parks --Nightmare at Crack Axle Canon from Kentucky Kingdom (at least low capacity) - Still at Great Escape but standing and not operating- 4 parks --Tidal Wave (low capacity / getting older in age) - 3 parks --Shrawtkopf coaster at SFStl went to Astroworld (Probably because it's a shorter ride) - 2 parks --Batman the Escape coaster - StandUp (Looks something like Iron Wolf) - 3 parks --Ultratwister from Great Adventure (Low capacity - I don't know if it was rough or not.) - 2 parks --Z Force from Great America eventually to Magic Mountain (Low capacity, and I think people thought it was rough) - 3 parks
Just to mention, Great Escape shouldn't be taking any coasters down because they have a big building SBNO. They should put something in there. Demolish the building, and build some coaster in that spot. I also think it's kind of stupid they took away Iron Wolf, and didn't replace that with anything. Now, it's just a stupid Karaoke stage in front, and they left it the way it was. The park has been through that phase already with Splash Water Falls and the Antique Car ride just sitting there, and nothing happening, and here we go again.
Also, I think SFOT actually bought the area in back of Batman the Ride, so they should expand that way instead of removing anything. For SFOG, I think they messed up their newer edition coaster. Instead of building the Euro Fighter where there Theater / Scrambler / older Intamin Generation Drop ride was, they should have removed Ninja, and put it there. If they remove Ninja now, you have to put in another coaster, and you can't put in more flats unless you build concrete slabs over the water. Bottom line is that I feel that park needs more flats. Maybe, before their idea was for a lot of the kids to go to that other Six Flags park called American Adventures, but now they don't own that park anymore.

I read somewhere that possibly down the road in a couple of years probably 2016-2017 that Six Flags Great America would give up Superman Ultimate Flight for Bizarro from Six Flags Great Adventures. I personally think that Six Flags Great America could make that work. Also, it would be nice to get a roller coaster with 7 inversions where a roller coaster that once too had 7 inversions stood.

I doubt anything will be going in Whizzer's location for quite a while. The park/coaster will receive and ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) preservation plaque/award next month (which I'm sure they will proudly display in front of the ride). Not that an award from a coaster group would halt decommission - but I just have a feeling Whizzer will be around for another very long haul.
The park has already talked to different manufacturers about future rehabs, etc, for the ride. Not to mention the effort the are going to preserve another Anton Schwarzkopf ride, East River Crawler (Lobster):
With all the "cool" old retro stuff we have at Great America, the park has become the restoration/preservation *baby* of the big parks across the country. (ie, look at Cedar Point - removed 2 log flumes; Wildcat.. Space Spiral is going. But getting an ACE plaque didn't stop them from making Blue Streak a NON-classic back in 1995...)
The "Ride Rotation Program" was simply a technical/uppity name for "we gotta move 2 or 3 rides" namely Z-Force, back in the 1980s. I think Great America is to the Six Flags chain is sorta like what Cedar Point is to the Cedar Fair chain. In other words - we don't take "hand me downs." Great America gives em out but doesn't take them. Except for Revolution
Great America has plenty of coasters as it is... quantity does not mean quality (ever been to Cedar Point or Magic Mountain?) it's the best well-rounded park in the chain (and well... probably just the best run park in the chain, period.)
I could see Medusa/Bizarro going to St. Louis maybe, but heck - what do I know
^ I have been to CP and thought it was almost too big! I understand that this isn't realistic for 2013. St. Louis and Great Escape could really use a big coaster. 2014 2015 I would expect Great America to get a new Coaster Most likely a smaller one like a Eurofighter or ZacSpin.
At the very least in the next 5 years SFGAv and SFMM will proabaly have a Wingrider to call its' own not to mention some of the other bigger parks such as SFOT and SFOG could get one.

I don't think many Six Flags parks do take that MANY hand me downs. It's probably about 1 or 2 rides at most for each park (2 Excpetions are SFNE & SFOT because they got a lot of closed down park FLATS like from SFKK & Astroworld) except for Astroworld which was a dumping ground, and probably a reason for it's downfall. Revolution did come from SFGAdv, but Rolling Thunder also came from SFGAdv too. Condor either came from Magic Mountain or Great Adventure. I always forget where it did come from. I should really write it down when I figure it out again! Also, we got some Astroworld boats for Roaring Rapids. You take SFStL for instance, and they got Xcalibur from SFGAdv, and they got Superman Tower of Power which also came from Astroworld (aka Giant Drop). I don't know of any more rides they got from somewhere else. They also took cars in which they aren't using from the SFKK wooden coaster.
SFNE got a hand me down ride called Catapult which came from Astroworld, but the reason for that is because they closed down Astroworld for good, so they had a bunch of rides that could be used again.
The Magic Mountain Condor could have went to Great Escape, or I think La Ronde also has one.
Probably a reason why we go Revolution was because SFGAdv didn't know how to get the thing working right. Xcalibur that went to SFStL I think had the same thing. SFGAdv got a TON of new flats in one year or two years, and I really doubt they were working right, so they sent a lot of them to other parks.
It's ridiculous that SFGAdv took out so many flat rides over the years. Six Flags should be spending a lot of money for that park to get a lot more flat rides, and maintain. It's absurd how many flats they have taken out of there because of poor excuses like too costly to repair, or the ride has become so bad that they have taken it out. It wouldn't have become that bad if they kept up with the ride. And sure, they brought some back such as a Scrambler, Sky Screamer, Dumbo, but that's barely anything. http://www.greatadventurehistory.com/GArides.htm

Why would SFMM get a Wingrider? They have X and Green Lantern already.

Six Flags tends to trade bad coasters with other parks. What coasters / other rides would you just say deserve to go away at all the parks?
SFOG- Ninja SFStL - Ninja & Boss SFA - Apocalypse, Mind Eraser (In general, the whole park.. The park's rides / coasters aren't terrible to me except those & maybe Roar, but it's just declining for so long, that they should just dump the park already.) SFDK - Kong just because it's a SLC
SFGAdv - I haven't been to this park, but from what I hear Rolling Thunder is bad (wooden coaster). For Bizzaro, I kind of feel that it's probably a really good ride, but I'm thinking they need to build other stuff near it to lure people, and I doubt they are doing that. SFMM- Superman should have been in the trash 4 years ago. Get rid of Viper. To me, they also didn't need Green Lantern with X being the huge standout in the front of the park. Any other Six Flags park, the ride would have made a lot more sense. Should have kept Deja Vu there...
Great Escape - Has a SBNO ride. Should be replaced already.. SFFT - Everyone knows about the Rattler. SFNE - Why do you need a regular boomerang anymore if you have in my opinion a better boomerang? Also, they should dump the SLC as said above for other parks. I wonder what the attendance at this park is. It just seems like they need something bigger already. Mouse, small spinning coaster, boomerang, a bigger boomerang. They get a lot of little stuff.
In general, I think the whole chain needs a lot of work. If I had millions and millions of dollars, I would never buy Six Flags because I see problems in almost every park. They bought maybe 5 SLCs in the chain because they were cheaper than B&Ms, and to me something like that hurts every park that has one. And what could you do now? You can't possibly buy 5 new B&Ms Inverted coasters for those parks because that would be probably $15 million each. Prices have gone up. I really doubt Batman the Ride at SFGAm cost $15 million in 1992. It probably cost $10 million being the first B&M, and Six Flags probably getting a deal buying so many of them..

I remember reading somewhere that it cost 8 Million Dollars.
^^I don't see SFSTL getting rid of Boss and words out that Rattler is getting a RMC transformation (Similiar to Texas Giant). And to be fair SFNE has a coaster that is usually rated as the best or second best coaster in the Golden Ticket awards.
^I'm sure that Superman is a great ride, and that's not because of the Golden Ticket Awards. I have been on another version at Six Flags America, and that ride was really great. However, when they built that ride at the time Intamin was a cheaper alternative to B&M like Raging Bull. In reality though, it hurt that park building an Intamin over a B&M because 2 people fell out of that ride - one being an army person even though that's more rider error than the park, but still. And absolutely, I rather have a Superman Ride of Steel than the B&M we have right now, but if someone fell out of a Superman, that hurts a park's reputation.
And because of those 2 incidents, they even had to buy new trains for that ride whereas Raging Bull didn't buy any new trains.

^yeah. zero chance a wooden roller coaster will get moved. Something small such as the little dipper maybe, but a large wooden roller coaster......never. Even Ninja...... zero chance. The ride is getting too old. That ride will end up with the same fate as Shockwave. you can count on that.

i got to ride the florida hurricane while it was at circus world... along with weiner looping. Weiner looping has to b e one of my faves of all time. the coaster was really fun.
Also, the Starliner they moved from a park to Cypress Gardens in Florida. I wasn't saying about moving it. I was just saying what rides I don't think are good rides at all the parks, and should be taken out.
For the Ninja comment, Iron Wolf is 1990, just 1 year newer than SFStL Ninja, and Iron Wolf was moved to another park.. As I said before, I think this "program" is awful. Ninja, I think should be junked, but with this program, Six Flags might want to send it elsewhere.
