According to Screamscape, the park is asking people if they want an Invertigo, Zacspin, or a Disko flat ride.. I really hope they get the Invertigo, but the question is what ride do you think they would take down for it if any? To me, they have more than enough room to put one of these rides in, but I really think Ninja or Tidal Wave (Splash Water Falls) could be gotten rid of. I think Ninja would be more on the chopping block than Tidal Wave though because for the regular park, they only have 3 water rides, and Tidal Wave is the clear winner in wetness as in you will definitely get soaked. The Log ride you barely get wet, and the Roaring Rapids ride is hit or miss whether you get wet. And everytime I go this park, it's always really hot and humid, so to me they need 3 water rides in the regular park even though they really should improve the Log Ride and Roaring Rapids ride (add some more sprinklers for each).
In case people are wondering how old Ninja is, it's a 1989 coaster so that's some 23 years. Ninja is a rougher shorter type of ride. Based on my recollection though, I think SFOG is still worse than SFStL, but both of them aren't really good at all. Sure, there are great older rides, but an older a ride gets they eventually have to put money into it. For instance, supposedly Six Flags has invested money into Demon at SFGAm and Shockwave at SFOT. I don't really know what they did. I think they took one track apart at a time at least at SFOT, and did something to it. Is the Shockwave track all brand new? I have no clue, but I doubt it.

This is a park where a Zacspin could work wonderfully. Something thrill with a park that doesn't need capacity help and low on gimmick thrills. The Disk-O would be a nice addition as well to their smaller flat ride collection. The Invertigo I do not get at all with Batman the Ride around front.
If Tidal Wave doesn't get the boot in the next year or two, I'll be stunned. So there is a perfect spot for the ride there. Then again, I'd use that area for a massive ride, not any of those listed.
every park needs a arrow looper in it... you cant have a park without one...
yes demon is much less violent these days but in a way you can say you miss the rough part of it. I am sure they will do some work on ninja before they remove it. I personally love the ride... but i like the arrow loopers. I know how to sit and where to put my body on the elements to not make it hurt. This is why i miss shockwave badly!
St Louis needs a 200 footer or even taller. They dont have anything like that. A invertigo would be a waste of time with the capacity sucking.
All the rides are lower capacity. Invertigo has much, much faster loading at Kings Island than Deja Vu did. That ride doesn't have the seatbelt around people's waist so the workers don't check the people twice. That ride is much more reliable than Deja Vu was also. People say that Zacspin at Magic Mountain line is really, really slow. So, that ride can't be that much faster than the Invertigo, and I'm thinking it's probably even slower being only 4 people per train /car, and they could have 3 people in some of the cars. Sure, I wouldn't mind riding a Zacspin, but than why doesn't the park just buy a Chance Zipper.. Zipper is less than 100,000. How much is a Zacspin? 8 million.
Someone says that the Zacpsin is maximum (Yeah right) 480 capacity. Basically, you are looking at Deja Vu capacity. A flat ride can do about the same - Triple Play.
To me though, none of these should be the answer for SFStL. They really need something bigger like another B&M for goodness sakes. And sure add the Disko because they don't have that many flat rides, but a bigger coaster is going to get their attendance higher than a smaller ride. The park also needs a kiddie coaster like Spacely's because they took theirs out.
And sure some Arrow Loopers are good, but if a ride doesn't get people on it, the ride should be taken out already no matter if it's B&M, Arrow, Vekoma, or Zamperla. If people think Demon is rough, this ride is 5 times rougher than Demon. This ride according to rcdb is also partial Vekoma because Arrow went bankrupt at that time.

I think they should really get the Invertigo. They are very rare, and better than the standard boomerang. SFA is my home park, and Two-Face was a great ride.If they put another Invertigo up, I will visit St. Louis.
I think they probably just want to install, not remove.
I believe - since we are talking rumors and ideas - I thought I read at a different forum that Six Flags Great Adventure was going to send Bizzaro to Six Flags St. Louis.
I might be mistaken, but I think I read that as well. I think a big coaster would do very well for them. Plus with only 2 steel coasters, they could use more.
Ninja at SFStL was a Vekoma ride, had nothing to do with Arrow. When it was moved from the worlds fair to SFStL Arrow did the move and had to redo a bunch of structure to accomodate SFStL's uneven landscape. Vekoma was chosen over Arrow most likely due to the fact that Vekoma used much more modern track bending techniques with smooth radius turns, they were always much better at stuff like that than Arrow.

hate to tell you this but your wrong. It is a arrow coaster. When arrow went into bankruptcy they hired vekoma to finish installing the ride. It has everything to do with arrow and was NOT a vekoma ride. If it is please show me your source so i can correct my own thoughts please. But in a sense i guess you could say its a arrow/vekoma coaster.
All the track connections are bolted including the rails, only Vekoma did that. Until the late 80's Arrow was 100% welded, and Arrow has never put bolts though the rails. Maybe Arrow was involved in the design of Ninja, but it doesn't have any classic terrible Arrow transitions.
I don't have a clear picture of it on Ninja, but here you can see it on Deja Vu on the far left of the pic with the bolts in the rails. Only Vekoma has ever done that, it's usually the only way to tell the difference between an older Vekoma and an Arrow before Vekoma started using support columns rather than the scaffolding for the lifthill.

I read somewhere about in a couple of years down the road S:UF from SFGAm being removed and gettin bizarro in its place.
How credible are these surveys in terms of being practical? Perhaps for down the road improvements, but 2013 plans are already set in stone and have been finalized for some period of time now. Beyond that, there's many factors they consider. This isn't just pop open the monthly magazine and order a new attraction.
I wouldn't believe it. The park randomly asked people if they wanted either one of the coasters or a disco flat ride? Really? Seems like a random bunch. While I would much rather SFSTL get a bigger addition like the relocation of Bizarro, I cannot help but laugh. Although I would love for a ZacSpin to be put in the park, with a better layout, hopefully.
^^Six Flags Great Adventure asked people before if people want a smaller Skyscreamer, and than get some other rides / resurrect them. SFGAm has asked people about the name of the new coaster X-Flight, and how much you would pay for the dining options. It's smart business to ask your customers what they would want. They are the ones coming to the parks. Zacspin & Invertigo are probably chosen because they are cheaper rides to buy. The park figures the park already has a mouse, maybe they know the reviews on the Euro Fighter Georgia coaster, and for something like the new ride at Discovery Kingdom, they already have a LIM ride. For awhile now, SFStL hasn't gotten the HUGE investment. They tend to get smaller stuff than SFGAm does. I think that hurts them that once and awhile they can't get a bigger ride, but oh well.
About SUF, I heard from someone else that SFGAm already got rid of Iron Wolf (Sent it to SFA), and thus they got a new coaster. SFMM got rid of Deja Vu, and thus get a new coaster next year. Discovery Kingdom got rid of Tony Hawk for new Premier coaster. If SFOT gets rid of the Rolling Thunder ride (which I hope not), and if they did that, I think they would get SFGAdv's Bizzaro. SFGAdv would get something. I don't know. Maybe, a new X-Flight.. Fiesta Texas doesn't have a Arrow / Vekoma sitdown (like Demon / Shockwave) that they could get from SFOG or SFStL. I think this switching is really dumb especially if either of those Ninjas (I'm not talking about SFMM Ninja which I think is awesome.) actually get moved to another park instead of being scrapped just like Iron Wolf that really should have went to the dumpster.

I was at Six flags Great Adventure last Friday. They have enough coasters and shouldn't get any more anytime soon, unless they are a family ride. Bizzaro and Green Lantern feel so much like the same ride, so Bizzaro could go. Then put something in that fits the theme of that area. What this park really needs is flats and shows. The only coaster that had a line outside of it's station was Kingda Ka, and only because they had downtime and 2 train op. Skyscreamer had about a 4-5 cycle wait, with a lot of kids in line. The tiger and dolphin shows are gone. They replaced the dolphin show with a sea lion show that teaches you how they train the animals. There just isn't much else to do if you don't like coasters. My GF and I were bored by 7:00 pm and left. The park seemed a lot more ghetto than last time. The park could use a water ride and indoor theater too. By the way, El Toro's best days are behind it. 2 of my 4 rides on it were downright painful. It was glass smooth in 2010, but no more.
[quote="Ilovthevu'"]^I heard that one was sold off to foreigners.[quote="llovthevu"]
SFA's Two-Face was sent to Brazil. There is no sign of it around the world anymore. I honestly think that was sold for scrap metal, or put into storage. If SFstL does get an Invertigo, it will most likely be new. I think they will be more obligated to get the Invertigo. The guests were probably appealed more to the roller coaster, rather than some flat ride.
