Mardi Gras Weekend

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I haven't seen a topic posted on this yet so how is Mardi Gras weekend at the park? Is it busy? Do you think people will stay late for the fireworks? I used to go just once a year to the park and this is my first year with passes so I don't know if these things are busy.

It's this weekend. My guess is that it'll be packed.
Xlight total rides:
50 times and in every row except front row left wing.

It definitely was packed. They did a great job with the parade and fireworks though! I enjoyed the food they were serving, and the New Orleans / Mardi Gras sections of the park was packed. But the whole park was really busy, so that may be the reason why.

It definitely seemed packed, but the longest I had to wait was for Superman which was only about 30 minutes. I really enjoyed going Saturday and Sunday, though, some great food and entertainment in that corner of the park.

Mardi Gras weekend was a blast! I hope they make it into an annual event. :D

^ They posted on their facebook that it will be an annual event.

We're wrapping up our first annual Mardi Gras celebration tonight with one last round of fireworks! Did you partake in this weekend's festivities?

And I do very much hope that it does in fact become annual. It was great fun, people really got into it, and they handled it all very well. Really the only things I can think of to improve it would be to make it more days, more street entertainment and to use the rest of the Looney Tunes parade floats.
