One question. The picture with Revolution's red and yellow leg makes it look faded. Does Six Flags repaint rides they bring in from other parks?

Well that red thing with the 7 yellow diamonds is actually the pendulum arm but those are the old SFGAdv colors. I think they plan on painting it to match their fancy artwork either right before they assemble it or just afterwards. Though I think they should have left the large fiberglass spikes and barbed wire on the ride and left it themed to Pendulum, the torture device in the short story the Pit and the Pendulum, was always a cool theme in my opinion. Though it's new scheme will look nice as well. Location kicks butt also despite loosing the old Fontaine Ferry Park Dentzel for the time being (or for good, no one has a clear answer yet all that was said was it will reappear somewhere).

I'm still pondering about the queue placement (if it will be in the midway or if it will go in the games area).

The queue will probably be something like the one Ameri-Go-Round had.

It will probably be very similar to Dropzone at PKI.

I wonder where it will go too. I dont think its staying at our park, but i wish it was. they could put it in the hometown park section that used to have the kiddie rides but is now occupied by a portable looking flower bed. They could also put it just near there, but in the center of the plaza looking thing where the fountain is between orbit and the hometown park.

I also noticed that they are repaving a lot of county fair. Thats good. But I also noticed that there might be some trees going, and thats not so good. Itll make the area look worse.

Any updates on mardi gras? Pics or no pics?

BTW, quick update from someone who was in the park today, while there isnt much new construction and no photo update, it now seems as if the Balloon Race will go where the Gazebo used to be and the Jesters Wild Ride may go where Cajun used to be. (Makes sense as a Balloon race is a rather large ride especially when compared to the old Chance Rotor) Also for reference, we are getting the exact same model balloon race as Santa's Village has (different themeing of course).

Well, I was there yesterday for the job fair, and still see nothing nooticable in the employee parking lot. Just the same "Stuff" that is there all the time. I highly doubt that everything is already in the park waiting to be constructed.

However, I overheard a security person and he was telling some lady standing in line that the pond where RC will go has already been drained and filled with dirt. They are awaiting to pour concrete, and he didn't really know for sure when they were starting it. Painting will start on the Coasters and 5 year flat rides in March. I'm guessing the flats that have been at the park for 5 years now will be recieving touch-ups.

I don't think they really started much construction yet because a crane would be visible, but I saw no cranes.

This weekends update, there is snow in the park :)

Nothing has happened so far, besides removing snow from the future ride sites. I get the feeling that SFGAm is going to slack off until a few weeks before opening then they are going to rush their butts off and miss opening day and/or do a half assed job. Nothing has changed rumor or otherwise for ride locations. I'm thinking there may be a spurt of activity this coming week with tems in the upper 40's for a few days.

I think come March there will be alot more going on (at least I hope so)

How much of the park do they plow? Do they plow the snow to most rides and buildings?

Yeah. But they could have just been maintence that works at the park. You never know. But they seem to be hiding behind buildings in some shots, so I doubt it.

Yeah, even if he is working construction, he will still get legal in trouble and I really hope they catch him.
