Postby Johnny.Ink on June 2nd, 2012, 11:58 pm
Today at the park they were handing out flyers from Hank that stated that there would be 2 new ERT's for Xtreme Pass holders for X Flight.

Tuesday June 12 - 8 - 9 pm
Tuesday August 14 - 8 - 9 pm

Figured I'd share the news...

Never got the email or handout Saturday. I'm kinda upset especially if I don't check here often.

So who is all going?

I'll be the tall guy with both arms sleeved in tattoos wearing a black t-shirt and hoodie possibly since it sounds like it'll be colder at 8.

Well if you see me feel free to say hi. If it's cold out I'll be in a Monster hoodie, and if it's not too bad, a metal Mulitia t-shirt.

Had a great time tonight with the few of us between 2 trains.
(Nice to meet you Johnny! I was next to you during our Xtreme pass processing confusion with Kevin.)
The train I was on had an average of 7 riders, the other train was a bit more crowded with about 15 riders.
I sure hope we get more of this throughout the season. I would be thrilled with a Coasters After Dark for Xtreme Passholders only.

Also, there was a crane putting the Demon black train on the tracks after the park closed.

Good meeting you as well.

Tonight was not as organized as the Raging Bull ERT. For one, they had us mixed in with the general public, and it took us 25 minutes to get our first ride in.

By about 8:40 - 8:45 it was just us Xtreme Pass folks, but still... They did extend it by 15 minutes as a way to say sorry.

We did talk to the VP there, and explained that the way the Bull one was run was much better. They will make the next one better from what they told us. We had fun. it was cool to meet about 4 or 5 forum members. Apparently we had all run into each other and not even known it. :)

The way they should work this and the Coasters After Dark event really is that they should operate both events a half hour after the park closes to the general public. Thus, the general public gets there last rides in, and the season pass holders / XTreme Pass Holders get there rides in. No, one would be complaining than. The reason why the XTreme Pass Holders worked fine before is because, wasn't the other one at 9am (before the park was open)? Based on these results of little people for this thing (XTreme Pass Holders ERT), I doubt they would add more of these next year. I think they might take one away.

The Raging Bull one was done 30 minutes after the park was closed. That one was very smooth and in my opinion be how all of them should be.

As for the ERT's, this one is probably the second most attended at 25 people. the very first one was the most at maybe 30-40.

They actually just added this and the next one when I originally posted the thread. I am hoping they do ERT's for other rides as well. But hell, 4 is more then the 2 announced.

The appear to have sold more Xtreme passes, so hopefully it sticks around next year - it is worth it and the meal pass in my opinion.

After my first ride I spoke with Tess who said that there were close to 100 of us there. BS!!! There was like maybe 25-30 at the most. Then people who were obviously not Xtreme Pass Holders were going on and on and on again. It was awesome when we started chanting "Make them show there passes" but they never did. They just asked. ANOTHER BS!!! They did give us an extra 15 mins on the ride but we still missed out on our full hour. I feel like they should have taken all of our names and given us a free flash pass next time we were there or X-Flight only Exit Passes so we can make up for lost time.

PS....Nice meeting some of you. :)

^ This is why working Friday nights is a good thing, it saves me from the temptation to attempt another CAD

I asked Hank if extreme pass could use flash pass entrance for CAD he said no. I think that it should be a pirk for having that pass. All big rides 1hr wait. Was shocked when I found out it was extended till midnight. Still very busy.

CAD itself wasn't extended. The regular operating hours were extended from 10:00-8:00 to 10:00-9:00 because of the crowds. CAD was simply pushed back an hour.

They should have 3 events again. It's too crowded to only have 2.

^ When they had 3 it was still hopelessly crowded then too. So yeah. I wish they kept the first one in May like last year. I'm sure they had a bunch of people complain that they couldn't get up there on a Friday in May, but it was the only CAD event that I actually enjoyed. Multiple rides, short to non-existent lines.
