Hey everyone..... I'm currently in the process of planning for an INDOOR AMUSEMENT PARK in the GURNEE, IL area!

A detailed business plan is being constructed, and we are seeking investors.

So..you want to open a very small amusement park in a town that already has a very large theme park. Uh huh..and do you have any type of experience with something like this?

^ Tell that to Valleyfair/ Nick Universe

I think FunZone will get the Overflow/ Kids from SFGAm and get people when GAm is closed.

That's completely different. NU is in a huge mall that draws millions of visitors yearly and also has major rides and coasters, which this does not. This is more like a Go Bananas, it's nothing like NU.

I really think that putting it by Gurnee, it's going to be too much competition. The reason being is because yes Great America does have a Scrambler already, and they do have a Spring Ride already. They also have kiddie roller coasters. Great America is not the only competition though. You have the Key Lime Cove waterpark, you have Rink Side Sports in the mall, Chuck E. Cheeses, and you have Rocky's Fun House in Waukegan. Rocky's Fun House used to be right across from Great America, but than they moved it to Waukegan probably because of too much competition. On top of that, you go into a lot of these arcade places though I know your place is going to have rides, they aren't too packed. Also, in regards to this place, these type of places have been closing down. Do you remember Jeepers? Most of the Jeepers are gone. One in IL has become a Go Bananas, and the reason why it still is there because it doesn't have another "kids" place right near it. There are also no arcade places that close to it.

My opinion is if you do make this place, put it in someplace like Wheeling, or Buffalo Grove rather than a place that has a ton of kids attractions already. What I really wish someone would be a much bigger place that was more like a permanent carnival indoors. That Grizzly Jack in Utica has some indoor carnival rides, but they seem to have maybe only 4 adult rides (I think they got rid of that Eclipse ride and bumper cars they used to have because those rides aren't listed in print on their website anymore), and maybe 3 kids rides.

I guess I'm wishing for 8 "adult" rides (A Tilt-A-Whirl I would consider an adult. - not only rides like the Zipper), and 5 toddler rides. Come on now. Someone needs to buy out a Sears store, and demolish the top level, and fit a lot of carnival rides in there. There was an older carnival rides indoors somewhere before, but I don't know why that didn't last. How about St. Charles York Towne mall Sears? They already have a Merry-Go-Round in that "mall", so maybe they could move it over.
