I know it's very unlikely, but if they did anything to get this park back open, I'd take a visit. Even if they made organized tours to visit the abandoned park without doing it illegally, I'd do it.
This park is so epic now. There're tons and tons of images and videos out now that showcase just how perfect this place would've been for filming Zombieland, or even filming a straight up horror film. Or using it for paintball or a FPS video game.
To be honest, I think some of the Flickr image galleries out there are more exciting than some of these videos. Being in that park at night would be insane.

They are doing a sequel to Zombieland now...
Wow… I just read the little blurb on Wikipedia regarding the sequel and my reaction was, "yuck, 3D? A TV series? What's with these gimmicks?" And I don't think it would be easy to utilize the park unless they wanted to just redo the entire 2nd half of the movie. Only thing I'm looking forward to now is Emma Stone :S
Considering the park is owned by the city and they are currently doing jack-all with it, they probably wouldn't lose much by operating a tour-based system at the park and market it as a joint creepy ghost town exhibit/Katrina educational talk.
Clearly looking at the number of views on these videos they would have an public to market it to.

Hmm... it was a 2011 indie thriller, "The Courier". Apparently it didn't show in many theaters, if any; it was just submitted to film festivals and such.
