Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I actually found Mantis smoother than IW. IW use to hurt me, but I'm learning now how to position my head on certain parts of the ride so it doesn't hurt. :D

I thought that Mantis was pretty smooth. I've never had a problem with IW either.

IW isnt rough at all. The trains are Intamin trains. The track and supports are Intamin design. Also the old restraints were Intamin too. The restraints were not red they were the same color as the backing and bicycle seat is but the bottom part was yellow. Look at the pictures below.

Yea it's not really rough for me either if I use the techique, but 95% of all the GP that come off the ride look like they just came from WWII. Most of the people aren't happy or clapping or excited there just glad to get off it.

Actually I would say if Iron Wolf has a line, it will stay for a while.

iron wolf is a great ride if you want to wait for the front row. It perfectly smooth for me in the front 3 rows, and i think the front is just amazing. Make sureu put the seat down far enough though so you dont loose your nuts during the first loop

I try to sit closer to the front because it is smoother, or at least feels smoother than the back

Iron Wolf is only worth it in my opinion if there's not a long line (it doesn't extend past the stairs) and if trains are leaving with lots of empty seats from the station, it's definately worth the wait for the front row. If there's a long line, I'd rather wait in line for something like S:UF, Deja Vu because I haven't been on it yet, B:TR, or RB. Viper's line always appears short but it's just complete chaos in the station.

On back row on Iron Wolf it is the best because you get tons of airtime all throughout the ride! :D

yeah, but if there's a tall person in front of you, you really can't see anything from the back. That's why i always sit on the outside, except on Deja Vu.

I never said I don't sit on the outside i think if you don't sit on the outside it is a waste of a ride.

Every row is smooth. The front and back row are my favorite. I always try to get the outside right seat so I can see whats going on in the eployee lot.

^ Are you sure you mean the OUTSIDE. Because those are the best seats, especially on Ragin Bull ( not to change the subject, which is my favorite ride Iroin Wolf).

Yes, the outside seats are the best. Let me back up. On Iron Wolf, it's hard to see out in front of the train because the seats in front of you are so high. That's why I like the front row. If I can't sit in the front row, then I like one of the outside seats, because you can see out to the side.

Why does it really matter if you can see or not? If you want a seat with a view, go ride the Sky Trek Tower...

Regardless, I may have to give Iron Wolf another try this season.

1. It's always nice to be able to see the Employee's Parking Lot

2. I think it's better than staring at the seats in front of you the entire ride, hence, why some people prefer the wing seats on Deja Vu instead of the middle seats that have the giant "Do Not Extend Your Legs" signs in front of you

I think you guys should keep in mind that, most likely the only reason why we don't find Iron Wolf rough is because we know the course by heart and know where to position our heads.. however the general public doesn't know that. They don't know which twist after which loop is gonna split their head open. Try riding it without stiffening your neck and head muscles at all, then you'll see how painful it is and what the GP goes through because they are clueless of the fact that it's rough.

Also.. I don't think it's the trains that are the problem, I think it's the wheels because they shake from side to side a lot on the turns, you can hear them shaking. And I think that's why it mutilates your head and ears.
Welcome to Millenium Force.

Yes the Bull is getting those aged B&M vibrations to, you can really hear and feel it when your going up the stairs to the station and the train passes by, and you can definitly feel it at the bottom of the drops. It's far from bad, but it's definitley there.
