Mt O. announced that the will be adding Ridehouse with 7 slides in total, and I'm almost certain it will come from Whitewater West because it will have a Boomerango slide and that is something that they have that Proslide does not. In addition to that slide there will be a Bowl slide, A family tube slide, and 4 kiddie slides. There is also a geyser that will shoot water 120 ft in the air. They didn't waist any time after the announcement because as I was driving past their today I saw them starting to take out the mat racers. If I can get some pictures I will be sure to post them. Oh yeah, and in kind of old news Noah's Ark will be adding a 4 person Proslide Octopus racer slide by the name of Quadzilla! Not a great year in the Dells, but it is for sure a step up from last year.
The one thing I'm kinda confused about, is something that was posted earlier in the thread.
Driving home from Minnesota I've seen 2 billboards that say "Reach for the Sky at Mt. Olympus in 2012." The billboard has orange coaster track going vertical to the sky. Im calling a Eurofighter.
Makes me wonder if there was a last minute change, because a billboard such as that one would have nothing to do with the addition, and I know parks need to hype, but they were really building up this addition to be something huge and I quote "bigger than Six Flags." Seems as though something else was supposed to be built.
I saw the billboards a few weeks ago. They are advertisements for the billboard marketing company called Olympus.
They have a design with a sky background and two spires shooting up. The bottom middle of the billboard says "Olympus". No where on the billboard did it say "Mt . Olympus".
I really only got a glimpse of the sign, so it makes sense how I miss read it. I don't understand why that company would advertise themselves with orange spirals (that just so happen to look like coaster track) an hour out of the Dells where there is a park of a similar name.
Top 5: 1) El Toro. 2) Maverick. 3) Millenium Force. 4) Diamondback. 5) X2. Coaster Count: 167 (41 Wood, 125 Steel) @Coaster_Cole on Twitter

They also said Hades would be the Longest/Tallest Underground Coaster. Even their promotion is meek.
So Mt Olympus owns like 20 hotels now or something? All of which offer free park admission...the park is not meant for capacity. Makes me wonder if there title in the "lodging business" is all they really care about, and the amusement business is just an extra bonus.

I've been to Mt. Olympus at least 10 times the last 3 years, and the most I've waited is a little more then 20 minutes for Hades. Which is their most popular ride which runs one train. Its obvious Mt. O isn't doing what they need to be doing to bring people in. And if they think buying a bunch of crappy little hotels will work, their wrong.

^20 minutes for Hades!!! you must be joking. Even when the like is in the station the wait is more than 20 min due to the fact they only run one train. MTO Did just fine business wise this year.
^20 MINUTE WAIT FOR HADES. Why not just go to the South Side of Chicago and have someone beat you up in a dark alley. They both offer the same experience except for the fact that it's cheaper and takes less time the second way
I'd wait an hour for Hades. What's up with people being little wussies these days? Yeah, it's rough. No shit. But it has a genious layout with some nice airtime. Look past the "roughness" for once.

Roughness isn't really an issue, I personally never found to to be rough at all, however overall it has a relatively uninspired layout, a terrible ending, and really no flow at all. I personally believe it's one of the worst wooden coasters built in the past decade. It seems to have been designed entirely around a tunnel that goes under the parking lot. Not a knock on the gravity group or anything, but it's easily the least interesting coaster they've made so far (CCI days/rides included)

I found Hades to be a fantastic ride. The tunnel was very intense, the noise, and complete darkness really scared the crap out of me. And the weird outside braking before leaving the tunnel the 2nd time made feel like I was going to drop out of my seat. I found the ride to be very intense with minimal airtime, but you definitely get the feeling of speed on the ride.
