Rode the Boomerang at Hersheypark with the new train and the ride was still awful. Even though the seats are more comfortable the ride still jackhammers and slams your head against the headrest, and the new restraints still offer some neck chopper action.
Itd be nice if Demon got the new restraints as they are more open and easier on the shoulders, but unless the ride got a lot more attention then that, I doubt it would be much smoother.
Actually if they turned off the trim's going into the helices, it would be surprisingly smooth. With the right speed, and just a touch of grease, the train gets pinned to the outer rail and it flows smoothly though the helix. When it goes to slow, that force isn't there and it pinballs back and forth between the 2 rails and provides the crappy ride it's been known for in that part of the ride.
Ride def needs new trains though, a shiny new set of spec PTC's would be nice rather than those homemade jobs they got running now that haven't legally been PTC's in decades.

I agree Eagle could use some retracking. I don't know why so many are opposed to it. Yes, there are much rougher rides out there but retracking would improve the ride experience, especially in the helix.
You jumped the gun with that statement. I'll get to 1 of those at a later day.
We've Lost 3 Theaters since 07' - Southwest Rock'n Amphitheater - Theatre Royale - Space Shuttle America Time to add a new one to make the park more complete.
^ This guy is obviously a troll. All of his posts have spelling and grammar errors and lack any common sense. He can't even spell Six Flags right (look at his name).
Plus to people who say "Over here is our County Fair section that was over taken by the Dutch as you can see the windmills they put in" and "What purpose would they serve? Park gets more than enough reliable power from ComEd without spending millions on alternative energy sources that would never pay themselves off on such a small scale."
