2012 Six Flags Additions

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby Eric on September 17th, 2011, 7:05 pm
I think that all of the 2012 Six Flags additions look very promising (not sure about Iron Wolf at SFA). For me, the 400 ft drop tower at Magic Mountain is the most exciting. Drop towers are the only rides that actually scare me each time I ride. This is because the airtime occurs very quickly and is usually unexpected.

X-Flight also looks very cool. I'm sure it'll be a huge hit with park-goers, especially because it's a completely different type of train design than anything else in the region.

There have been updates posted on here for X-Flight, but anyone know if there are updates on the additions at the other parks?

^I think parts of IW have actually shown up at SFAm or are at least in the DC/Baltimore area. And alot of it is still at SFGAm.

Don't know about the others, has Deja Vu at SFMM closed yet??

Oct 10 was the last day I think they given certain riders the privlege of riding it 10 times in a row without getting off.

Apparently the Barrel ride will be reopening at SFStl next year. The ride has been SBNO for many many years and the park made an interesting status earlier. Many people think that they will be sending Mr Freeze backwards but that would take a lot more modification and testing since the park has only been closed for 4 days now. Also, just thinking of that strong 0-70mph launch without OTSRs seems a little too intense.
