Video there, and on the right hand side there is an English version of what happened.

Looks like maybe a Meisho version of a shuttle loop.

Well, that's why roller coasters that go upside down really need harnesses! Granted I love lapbars like on Shockwave at SFOT, or Mindbender - some of the Shrawtkopf rides, but if a ride gets stuck upside down, is that lapbar really going to hold you? Look at what happened on Demon... No one fell out of Demon, but it got stuck too. And yes, they are freak accidents, but it still could happen again.

^^Yes, that lapbar will hold you in just fine. Would you rather have all your weight distributed onto your shoulders or just pressure on your legs? The people on Demon had it alot worse than a lapbar only ride getting stuck.

I believe Anton Schwarzkopf demonstrated one of his rides with a lapbar only device that you are securely kept in should a train get stuck.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

^If I'm not mistaken, Anton did that with an executive of Busch Tampa to prove lapbars were safe.

What are you confused about? That Demon got stuck upside down in a loop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7Nt6h7sBHg

That there is a ride at Six Flags Over Texas called Shockwave that has a lapbar? http://rcdb.com/28.htm?p=19485 And no it's not the same Shockwave as SFGAm's Shockwave. If comparing it to SFGAm, it's more like Demon, but it only has 2 loops, and no other inversions.

Turbine at Walibi Belgium got wedged in it's loop with lap bars only and everyone did just fine. And with each lapbar having it's own independent release, evac was a breeze. At least as much of a breeze as it could be in an inverted position.

That must be a pretty bad park if there are only 2 people on the ride. That might be a zoo though with 1 ride...

That's absolutely ridiculous. A park employee climbing up and pulling the coaster down with a freaking rope?

^ You think that's ridiculous? :)

IF my memory serves me correctly (which it may or may not...my memory isn't the best!), when the After Burner at Fun Spot park in IN got stuck upside-down, the way they got it to move was to ram it w/ the basket/bucket of a firetruck until the train became unstuck. Now THAT'S ...different. :)

I have a question that is kind of similar to this topic. Has V2 ever hit the top on either of the spikes?

I have never seen it, but it is possible. If my memory serves me correctly, the launch of the next train is based on the wight of the previous train. So provided the Chicago bears rode the first train and then a group of girl scouts rode immediately after it is possible that it could hit the top bumper. I would guess train consists of >90% of the total weight I dont think you could possibly hit it that hard.
