Let's just say Saturday was by far the busiest I've seen it all season after 20+ trips.
The shortest ride lines were revolution at 1 hour, and King Chaos at 45 minutes. Everything else rollercoaster-wise was in the hours.
To show just how badly packed it was, we couldn't even ride dark Knight since it's line was out going to almost Superman.
Superman's line was out to the Bumper cars, and Bull and Viper had 3 hour waits.
We waited at Noon for 15 minutes on Batman, and that was the only rollercoaster we rode all day. Everything else was flats, since even those could take 15 - 20 minutes wait to get on.
We still had a blast though.
I'm sorry but there is no way either of those rides had a 3 hr wait. Even if Bulls line was past Orbit it wouldn't be. Someone saying Viper is 3 hrs is beyond ridiculous.
^Well not that the wait was 3 hours but I clearly remember the wait for Viper last year during the one day I went to FF was 2 hours. FF is a highly popular event, some people only go to the park only in October for that reason only.

I obviously didn't wait to see, but the front board said 3 hours, and the line was going into the game area, so I'd tend to believe it. Plus, Viper can drag aong sometimes.
Either way, it was very busy Saturday. A friend that works there said that last Saturday it was the same, 2.5 - 3 hour wait on almost all coasters. friday was dead.
i think our last trip this season will be on a Friday.
I wonder who wrote that on the board then. Even when there was actually a queue block in there It wouldn't come close to that. Even saying 2 hours isn't realistic! I was there both days on the warm weekend and even with the park jammed I have seen longer lines.

I'm pretty sure I know how crowded fright fest is since I worked three of them lol
The only rides that would even be close to 3 hours would be S:UF and RB. Viper is EXTREMELY unlikely. With all 3 trains a full RB queue is about 45-60 mins. So i'm thinking back to Orbit would add another hour. As for the wait time sign that is usually BS. I've seen S:UF have a 45 min wait time sign when it was barely 15
Even with Average Capacity Viper with a full queue and a Grouper is only about 30 minutes. No Grouper Full queue about and hour. Even if it extended through the Harbor entrance and toward the games (which I wouldn't doubt) It probably never got above 75, and even that would be pushing it.
Captain, don't shake the passengers up too much this time! Just giving them their money's worth!
My next trip will be on a Friday so I can ride the last time for the season. Get ready for a long boring winter waiting for X. Man I hope they have a web cam.
I just want to chime in here, and say that yes for the rides that are open, Fright Fest feels packed. Granted, I know they are getting okay to great attendance, but in some instances it's just going to feel packed no matter what compared to the summer season. There are days during the summer season when there are a bunch of cars in the backlot, but yet the lines aren't hours and hours full. It's just because of there being less rides open - meaning a lot of water rides not open plus you add in Iron Wolf now gone, and Sky Trek Tower. Fright Fest can feel packed with only the front lot full. Though, for Fright Fest you have the Haunted Houses and Necropolis as extras, but to me those still don't make up for loss of capacity in regards to the waterpark. The waterpark capacity I think was up to 9,500 people. I might be a little wrong on that, but it jumped from around 7,500 people to 9,500 because of the new additions.
Granted, how many times does the waterpark get up to full capacity, and them turning away people? I have never been to the waterpark where they have said, you can't come in here. Though, I have heard it's reaching capacity, but yet I looked at the counter thing, and there was still room for a few thousand people. The average for me when I go to the watepark is in the 4,000 people which equals 4-5 Batman the Rides capacity. Though, for the waterpark you have to realize that there are a lot of people just sitting around too. And yes, I understand that the waterpark and water rides really shouldn't be open, but I'm just commenting on the difference in capacity from summer to now. And sure the park is saving money on having less attractions open, but are they really saving a ton of money on wages? You have to remember that they are hiring scare people all over the park, so instead of Roaring Rapids 6 or 7 people maybe, you have 3 pirates, and 3 clowns / bendable girl. Plus, each group of scare people have a security person.
I'm just curious about American Eagle. Is it running 2 sides, or 1?

We left at 8:00 and wanted to come back and they would not stamp our hand does that meen the park is at maxim capacity? This was on Saturday and the park was open till 11. Can't you reenter a 1hr before close?
^During Fright Fest, they have a policy that you must enter / re-enter the park before 7 pm. During the summer, it was a hour before close.

^I was there the 7th (A Friday) and it started ridicuously dead then turned into an average summer night. The 80*ish temps probably helped, though. Hoping to go back, but dreading the possibility of going on a Sat/Sun.
Friday Nights are bad too. RB easily had an half hour wait about 15 mins after the park open. The sign said 45 but i don't think it was that long. B:TR had a 90 min wait time sign and probably at least a 45 min wait S:UF was posted 30 min but was more like 60. So much for the park being dead.
^ Went to the park last Friday (10.14) and the park was dead. Granted I got there at 7pm, so maybe it was more crowded earlier. Most of the park was a walk-on situation. We stayed till 11pm and the front parking lot was maybe half full. No back lot in use at all. Quite a different situation that Saturdays. Also went Sunday, and it was more crowded, but still no back lot. Saturdays are the worst days.

Agreed. My partner and I walked in on Saturday (October 15th), stuck around for about 10 minutes, then walked right back out. It felt more crowded than Saturday (October 8th)--and that day the park was crowded to the point of no fun.
Another extremely busy Saturday at the park. Lines stretching for what seemed hours - even the Flash Pass users were waiting "longer" than normal. That aside, Fright Fest week 4 was the best yet. All attractions currently running under "Haunted" operating cycles are doing so amazingly well.
Terror Twister 2 is finally completely restored to what it should be. If you were there yesterday, you'll know what I mean.
Biohazard and Demon have been blanketed with several fog machines in key positions in the ride (finally) to really make them the stand out Haunted attractions for evening riding.
How does everyone like East River Kraken? Pretty sweet I must say.
I am so excited for the final weekend next weekend. Let's hope the weather drops a bunch and the sun vanishes so we have a weekend that LOOKS like it is October!
Major props and thank you's go out to the many that have once again went over the top with elaborate decorations, new ride cycles and continuing to make each weekend a little "more" than the previous. It makes going every weekend a surprise. I could not be happier.
If you have not made it to the park yet for Fright Fest 2011, do yourself a favor and get out to the park next weekend - It hasn't been this good in 10 years. And yes, I really do believe that.
